There is an exception process through (FDIC I think); but it can take up to a year to get someone cleared.
Just goes to show that your mistakes follow you for your entire life!
Lesson for the young people out there.
Hey idiots in Congress and all over D.C. Make the same rules for yourselves and your staffers !!!!
And consider takes our money for fraudulent spending as theft. All of you are fired.
What I’ve learned from this story is that there’s no room for repentence and having paid your dues in the liberal mindset.
Did you really think we want those laws observed? said Dr. Ferris. We want them to be broken. Youd better get it straight that its not a bunch of boy scouts youre up against... Were after power and we mean it... Theres no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there arent enough criminals one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? Whats there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced or objectively interpreted and you create a nation of law-breakers and then you cash in on guilt. Now thats the system, Mr. Reardon, thats the game, and once you understand it, youll be much easier to deal with. (Atlas Shrugged 1957)
Makes no sense there must be more to the story.
I guess it’s good that bankers should have more integrity than politicians. Still it seems so flagrantly hypocritical that said politicians are the ones ordering them to do to... one gets the idea this is clearly something that Wells Fargo did not want.
He’s 68 and is approaching retirement. His insurance rates are going to rise, too. They’ll fire this guy and hire a 20 something bonehead for half his wages and benefits.
No more to the story. New regulations require finger prints and back ground checks for everyone. This was not required before; at least the finger prints. There was some background check done, but not this extensive.
It started about 2 years ago; some well qualified long term employees have been cut loose.
Any conviction, no matter how old or small, will require the bank to immediately fire someone. No wiggle room.
It’s insanity brought on by Barney Frank and Chris Dodd.
Aside from the obvious stupidity of this over reaction, this man should take out an ad:
“Is there ANYBODY in Wells Fargo management who is willing to publicly assert that THEY are not guilty of a more grievous behavior, at any time in their adult life?”
The Injuns done raided the Wells Fargo wagon.
Well, you can’t be too careful. Before you know it someone might run a cardboard cutout of a man for President.
Doesn’t surprise me that this is in Des Moines. West Des Moines and Des Moines have thousands of Wells Fargo employees.
Wonder if he will get his retirement? Wells Fargo is probably going to screw him out of that...
So why can’t we do the same thing for all of our politicians?
His 401K would not be an issue, assuming he put something in it.
There is no lesson here other than that in this country you cannot live down a mistake made so long ago. Well a possible lesson is that the system will screw you out of your retirement any chance it gets.
Whats the law behind this? For reference in future debates.
Um, this is craziness.
