The thing that most bothers me about Barack Obama is his unearned narcissism. His smugness and arrogance are beyond the ability of science to measure. I don't mind someone being a bit cocky or even arrogant, IF they have the accomplishments and achievements to back up the attitude. Obama's greatest achievement, though, is creating his own personal narrative. He is his own personal touchstone. Even when honoring a great American hero, Obama can't help but thrust himself into the event.
On Friday, America and the world lost a true hero. Neil Armstrong, who died of heart complications at the age of 82, was the first human to walk on the moon. His steps onto the lunar surface were watched by the largest television audience in history. His statement "one giant leap for mankind" echoed throughout the world, allowing people everywhere to step back from the clutter of their daily lives and pause to dream big things. People who witnessed it will never forget it.

If you have any friends or co-workers that can step me through getting Photoshop installed on Linux, it would be greatly appreciated.. Since I have switched to Linux, I WAS able to install PS, but it worked once.. now all I get is an error (which, somehow, I knew it would happen..).. It is such a pain to reboot to Windows now to use PS :p

Seems I recollect that Barry told the head of NASA that he needed refocus the agency away from space travel and towards Muslim outreach. This seems to be the logical result.

I think there is a very good chance that this photo was posed just for the occasion. Otherwise why would anyone take a picture of jug ears staring at the moon ?
Obama's nice guy image is totally a media invention, about as genuine as Rock Hudson's marriage. The more you learn about him, the nastier he seems...possibly the meanest, nastiest person ever to be President (although he has some strong competition from some of his predecessors such as LBJ, Carter, and Clinton).
Unlike McCain, who was too stupid to know better, Romney knows full-well that Obama is anything but a nice guy.
And you can bet Romney's old friend Bibi Netanyahu and has filled him in with some of the juicy details Obama learned by Mossad.
