What I don’t understand is why the flag isn’t at half staff as of today. Lately it seems that the flag is half staff for just about every tragedy, but not for the death of an American Hero.

Ah, but it is worse than that! Who thinks Obama himself posted the picture? Come on, raise your hands. Bzzzzzzzzzz, wrong answer! After all, that sounds like work, does it not? And pedestrian work at that. Someone else did it and that leaves us with three possibilities:
a) he himself ordered it done ("here's a nice picture of me, post it").
b) there are standing orders that all pictures posted shall be of the oneness.
c) his staff views him as a god and do this on their own volition.
