” R Congress will oppose much of what a Romney admin proposes, should we? They seem to barely be able to muster opposition the current WH occupant.”

Really - you do realize how many bills the R congress forwarded to the Senate (Harry) only to have them die.

you need to read something other than the funny papers.

The issue at hand is a conservative opposition to big government supported by a GOP-e controlled executive branch.

Examples of Republican support for big government would include No Child Left Behind, Medicare Part D (the prescription drug plan) and funding Planned Parenthood. Honorable mention should go to the Patriot Act (as I understand it now, originally Joe Biden’s brainchild!!), which can in theory be used against just about anyone including conservative activists. Alleged conservative R’s refer to votes for such legislation as “supporting the team” (see: Santorum).

I would not put forth the Boehner Congress as an example of principled conservative resistance to big government, even when dealing with the current occupant of the WH. After all, Boehner has recently agreed to fund Obamacare, he capitulated on raising the debt ceiling, he has shown very little motivation in prosecuting the AG for contempt of Congress in the Fast and Furious (ie. the gun control inside job), and he allowed the most recent NDAA to pass (legislation which both Romney and Obama support).

And you are convinced that this same Congress will stand up to Romney, when (not if) he proposes more of the same??
