why didn’t he hit Obama with Infanticide votes??

Here's what I think he needs to do:

"Yes, I'm sorry...I'll readily admit that I really botched that interview...I went off half-cocked...BUT:

Look at my conservative voting record.

They're calling me radical, when Obama voted twice to allow the killing of babies who survived a failed abortion?

They're calling me radical, when Obama, who usually voted "present", voted multiple times to support partial-birth abortion?

They're calling me radical, when over 40 million babies have been killed, since Roe v Wade was handed down?

They're calling me radical, when Obama came out in support of "gay marriage"?

They're calling me radical, when my opponent, whatsername, has supported the baby-killing, sodomite, Marxist, Barak Obama EVERY STEP OF THE WAY!...?

Folks...They're calling YOU radical! I'm Todd Akin and I approved this message."

By the Akin standard shouldn’t Rush had quit his show with the slut comment? After all he was hurting the Party at the time and now his ratings are higher then ever, who would have thought?

Pray for America

At first I was furious with Akin for saying such a stupid thing during a time when the media and democrats are circling the water like sharks. Akin’s statements was like throughing a bucket of chum overboard just as you’re getting ready to go into the water. At best, very bad judgement.

Still, you make some very valid points. We should accept his apology and support his campaign. Everybody plays the fool sometimes, there’s no exception to the rule...

To the Media DNC, HEY, HE SAID HE WAS WRONG AND HE’S SORRY!!!

We could even have him come out as the victim of political correctness if we play this right.

The Dems had granny in a wheelchair being pushed off the cliff. The Reps need to come up with a similar visual. The stakes at risk for this election are too important to pull any punches.

"Dr Obama" in a white lab coat, another doctor comes running into the room: "Dr Obama, this baby was just born, she survived an abortion!"

Obama turns away, aloof and expressionless, and gives a long thumb-down.

The other doctor frowning shakes his head, and looks back over his shoulder as he walks out of the room.

The scene switches to a non-surgical back-room where a bunch of doctors are standing back-to at a table, and a baby is screaming and screaming.

After several seconds of deliberation, you can see one of the doctors make a quick movement with his arm and the screaming stops.

Voice over:

"This is how much respect the man you elected president has for human life, and you want him in charge of your healthcare? We don't think so either.

This ad was paid for by the Republican National Committee.

Give me 100-1 odds Obama wins the women vote and I will bet you $100 if you are so confident. The women’s vote went Repub in the 2010 election FYI.

Heh, and how does asking for those odds demonstrate that YOU'RE confident about your prediction?

The mid-term 2010 election doesn't mean much compared to a presidential election. The stupid voters don't turn out as much for the mid-terms. The GOP hasn't won the women's vote for president since 1988. Both in 1988 and 1980, it was only by 1%. 1984 was the last time the GOP won the women's vote in a landslide. Since 1992 and up, the GOP president has lost the women's vote to the Democrat by at least 3%. And 4 out of 5 times it was by 8% to 16%. By contrast, since 1980 men only voted more for the Democrat president than the Republican in 1992 and 2008, and 1992 was probably only because of Ross Perot siphoning off a fifth of the votes.

Polls currently seem to show Romney trailing Obama among women by about 10 points, close to the 13 points McCain lost by.

Right. Akin is now the man against the establishment. He owes nothing to party bosses and will not cave into pressure no matter where it comes from. He is his own man, bloodied but not bowed.

To: ROCKLOBSTER; All

I have heard a radio ad (Ohio) with a Chicago nurse as narrator saying she was at a baby surviving abortion incident and tried to get her state Senator (OBama) to do something about letting them die. Instead he voted to kill the baby. The punch line is “tell them abortion is not healthcare”. VERY good ad.

So is your proposed ad. Set up a pac and run wit it.

If akin was so ‘brave’ why didn’t he hit Obama with Infanticide votes??

NO ONE in the Reps are talking about that.

I don't know and I think it's a mistake to not bring it up.  It would be great if one of the women speakers at the convention this week brings it up and uses it as nails in the Democrats coffin.

One would think Joe Biden, the Vice President of The United States, never made a gaffe or insulted anyone. < /S >

“Strategically, IMO Romney should have stayed out of the Akin affair except to disassociate himself from Akin’s comments and note his apology. He should have stayed out of the fight (at least publicly) calling for Akin to withdraw. He should leave that up to Akin and the Missouri GOP to work that out.”

Amen!!

Your the one who was confident in your position so you should jump all over those odds. After all you think it is a sure thing, how accurate have those polls been in the last few years? You sure the turnout will be exactly how they are polling?

I disagree. Romney should have used the opportunity to bring up Biden’s gaffes, and then go into 0zero’s record on abortions. Romney could have turned the entire discussion into what 0zero did not what some senate candidate did.
