Poll: Akin support drops, voters want another candidate
Politico ^ | 8/25/12 | Alexander Burns

The most remarkable stat in the poll may be this from the crosstabs: even voters who say they are supporting Akin think he should withdraw by a 16-point margin, 50 percent to 34 percent. That suggests there's a floor for a Republican Senate candidate in Missouri, but that conservatives in the state would rather have a different option in the race

PS, with a lot of Adam Smith, Ludwig von Mises, Friedrich Hayek, Milton Friedman, and Thomas Sowell thrown in....

Actually, you are an old fashioned lefty that likes conservative economics and despises the conservatives that deliver them politically for you, and for America.

You are a member of the minority of leftists that embraces, and loves, our economics, inspite of your admission that we are the conservatives, the so-cons.

I wish I had your sense of calm.

I’m from Pennsylvania, West BiGosh is right down 79 about 40 min or so.

I trust that ‘Rat Manchin about as far as I can throw him, and he outweighs me by a good 50lbs....

Maybe Zero’s war on coal will make him do so, but I dunno,,,,,,

Indeed. Your ability to really know people through only their on-line, anonymous inputs, shows a rare quality.

Kudos

Akin’s reason for staying in stunk to high heavan. He’s in because he’s
Pro life. He sounds like Hillary. For the children. I was willing to give
The guy the benefit of the doubt until I heard him on Hannity and Levin.

He’s a slimy egomaniac. A key state. An Unbelievably weak senate target,
And this schlub thinks it’s an unprovoked attack on him being a monumental friggen idiot. Who says legimitate rape ever?

I’m pretty sure I’d be fired if I used that term at work. Why does this dipshit get a pass? I’m against abortion too. I’ve argued with coworkers about it. If I said what he said, I’d be in HR getting fired.

Stop defending this idiot.

60% - 70% of Republicans want a different presidential candidate than Romney.

You are referring to members of your family, not pubbies.

Give it a rest, go to Church, pray for global cooling, pray that your sanity returns.

Irrational hate is self consuming, it will rot your soul.

I haven’t read that much Wilczek, but what I have is intersting.

I’m flattered to be referenced in the same thread as his work, thanks you.

We've already got global cooling, in the shorter term (since 1998), in the longer term (over the past 2000 years), and in the super-longer term (the drops in the highs over the last 4 interglacial periods to the current one).

I am as conservative as they come and I hate the the RINO establishment. However, this is a no-brainer. Akin’s failure to withdraw and the Party’s inability to make him withdraw are fatal flaws.

Or are you just a sour grapes socon?

The question I have for you EP is aren’t you a SOCON? Being on Free Republic you should be. We have enough liberal social issue people walking around. I am a proud SOCON. Why aren’t you? I don’t get why you think calling P-Marlowe a SOCON is somehow negative. If I were her, I would wear it with pride. What on Earth are you? A fiscal conservative but liberal on social issues. We don’t want people like that here. I would take some debt over a dead baby. Your thoughts?

>Akin’s the nominee, and compared to McCaskill he’s 1000000X better.

akin has 0% chance of winning so it does not matter how much you think he is “better”. Zero times anything is still zero.

More democrats than republicans want akin to stay in the race.
The fact you refuse to face reality is very telling.

FUTA
