Definitely a tough situation for the cops in NY. Sounds like it happened so quick that there was no way for people to run for cover or anything.
I’m actually surprised it doesn’t happen more often.
maybe the cops could get more target practice in , 10 rounds a year is pathetic.
Standing 10 to 12 feet away and missing at that range is down right pathetic.
Maybe NY city needs to look at their recruiting especially from what I;ve seen by being there in that city and looking at the 250 pound black woman cop on the video right after the shooting.
Maybe NY city could actually do a job fair in Chicago too.
It was a righteous shoot. Those two cops really need a LOT more range time. The perp was 8-10 ft. away and the majority of the rounds they launched missed him. That is a BIG no-no in an urban environment.
OTOH, I wonder if any of the firearms used in the chi-town gang wars came from Fast & Furious courtesy of one of holder’s favorite cartels?

Holder does not fear congress. The new Mayor of Chicago is above the law. Obama and his minions are above the law, and create their own law without the approval of congress, and even when it goes against the laws of congress. Congress does not stop them.

My lady friend is 3rd in command of a private security company. Their annual certification requirements for their armed security officers FAR surpass what cops have to do.
It’s pathetic. They get labeled “rent-a-cops”, etc.....but their job requirements put cops to shame. Most cops couldn’t pass their shooting tests or knowledge of the law.
