CHICAGO (CBS) — Shootings in Chicago between Friday afternoon and Saturday morning left four people dead and at least 13 more wounded.
One of the deadly shootings happened just a few blocks from President Barack Obama’s Chicago home. A young man was sitting in his car with his girlfriend, when he lost his life to an armed robber.
Stephin Williams and his girlfriend were in their car around 2:30 a.m. in the 4900 block of South Drexel Boulevard, in the Kenwood neighborhood about three blocks northwest of Obama’s Chicago home on Greenwood Avenue. Two men walked up with a handgun and announced a robbery, police said.
When Williams attempted to fight, one of the males shot him multiple times.

While visiting a friend there recently, I found that out the hard way trying to find Enrico Fermi’s house on foot (I went in the “wrong” direction on Woodlawn). That was a little scary even at 2:00 on a weekday afternoon.

After I read the headline the first time I wondered how or why do you shoot blocks that are dead and how did they get the blocks from Obama’s home.
Maybe I need some rest from all this Obama all the time stuff.
Surely he’ll enjoy retirement in Kenya, won’t he? I’ve heard his half-brother’s got a nice pad there.
My prediction is that Baraq won’t be able to stand not being on tv constantly.
He may well get a regular gig on MSNBC.
NYC has to be the place for him.
Of course they’ll have vacation homes all over the place.
Obama will make tens of millions just selling POTUS pardons next January.
That’s why he lives there.
He’s safe there.
If Obama had any sense, he would flee the country after the election to avoid prosecution.
The media will treat him just like they did BJ Clinton.
And no way a Romney administration is going to do anything to him.
You’ll see Baraq sell POTUS pardons for 10s of millions and nobody in the MSM will even notice.

Well, someone was once shot dead blocks from my home in Pittsburgh, but overall my neighborhood is pretty safe. That’s why your link is to a local affiliate - because it’s really just a local story.
Yep. Øbama lives just on the northern border (near Calypso Louie) if you cross 51st St. is a warzone. Hyde Park is buffered to the west by Washington Park, to the east by Lake Michigan and the south by the Midway Plaissance (60th St.)
When I lived there in the early 90’s it was a relatively safe place as I can only remeber 3 murders there in 3 years.
Hyde Park is dominated by uber-liberal white Jewish people and the eggheads at the UC.
Cleveland where I’m from is similar.
The place where my parents lived when I was born, I’m not sure I’d visit even in daytime.
But I can visit it without dodging bullets by using Google Streetview, LOL.
