Missouri conservatives rally to Akin, blast Republican “establishment”

(Reuters) – Missouri conservatives say they are rallying around U.S. Senate candidate Todd Akin despite his controversial comments about rape because they are outraged that “establishment” Republican Party leaders tried to railroad him out of the race.

A backlash has set in here in Akin’s suburban St. Louis congressional district, where supporters said the national party had no right to attempt to force out a duly-elected candidate.

I was one of those here who was urging him to quit.

Now that he has decided to stay I urge everyone to vote for him.

Like the race between Romney and Obama.

There is no other choice.

The Devil or the Deep Blue Sea./

anyone who doesn’t think their Uterus has magical powers

Ha! It always seems like magic when you don't know how it works, doesn't it? (You remind me of the primitive fellow in "The Gods Must Be Crazy".)

It’s simple. You gonna pull for the R or the D on Election Day?

That’s the choice the RNC gives us every two years.

Now there’s a conservative in the R-slot and the GOPe are ready to throw him off the R-train over a gaffe he apologized for.

Who sticks by who in these contests?

agreed, the whole reaction to this is pathetic and way over the top and the media will keep it going because the cowards like Hannity does not like conservative social issues, they never mention them , they never discuss them, all they care about is their own pockets and power.

Talk radio never even bothered to even disucss don’t ask and the problem siwht letting homosexuals serve openly. Hannity has his screeners hanging up on those who wanted to mention conservative social issues.

Sarah, Demint, Bachmann, Col Allen West etc all need to start the conservative party and to hell with the estbalishment types, they need us more than we need them.

Talk radio minus those like Levin can piss off and I will never add to their ratings on FOX for O.R. Hannity , Perino, Guilfoyle.

Akin is an idiot. Just because the MSM say he’s a jerk doesn’t mean he isn’t. Any other Republican can beat McCaskill but Akin cannot.

I am a Missouri conservative, and I am NOT "rallying to Akin." Yet.

September 25--that is the pivotal date, the last day Akin could withdraw and be replaced. If Akin consistently polls badly between now and September 25 and shows no signs of recovering, then I hope he withdraws for the good of the cause. If he stays in through September 25 and is the only alternative to McCaskill, and looks like he has a chance, then I will actively support him.

Take your biology/abortion/rape thesis and try selling it to the American public. I’m betting a huge majority won’t buy it.

And there in lies the problem, i.e. spinning, selling, damage control.

Most conservatives refuse to go down with the ship based on the thinking of a few crackpots.

It always seems like magic when you don't know how it works, doesn't it?

If 'they' knew how it worked, there would be a lot fewer unwanted pregnancies.

In today’s poll, Akin’s favorables are 17/56. So much for rallying to Akin. What did Rooters interview his neighborhood?

Akin has admitted he didn’t know what he was talking about, you may be haven’t followed the story close enough. The part he is wrong about is the biology, he claimed to have read something a long time ago that lead to his elaboration.

Hannity learned his lesson from Christine O’Donnell, who he pumped for relentlessly. The Dems took the seat and were able to push through the Stimulus and Obama-care.

Give Sean H. credit, he learns from his mistakes.

Akin is an idiot.

He's smarter than you.

Just because the MSM say he’s a jerk doesn’t mean he isn’t.

Based on that kind of evidence, you qualify as a jerk, as do we all.

Any other Republican can beat McCaskill but Akin cannot.

Perhaps you could give me tomorrow's winning Lottery Numbers ?

No, sorry, it's even simpler. I still want them to dump Romney, and on the exact same basis as their effort to dump Akin.

Guy played footsies with the Democrats so he's gotta' go.

If you want Romney ~ the CR*P SANDWICH candidate ~ I can understand why Akin enthralls you. If you don't want Romney though, Akin is just your kinda' guy ~ all things considered.

BTW, this is from the hard core side of Conservatism ~ not that mealy mouthed "Cain't we jus' git'long together' stuff.

Sarah Palin can drag almost anyone across the finish line against McQuacksill

She didn't do that for her candidate in the primaries who came in 3rd.

--she's a hated rat and one of the worst.

Voters in Missouri will have to decide between a longtime conservative and a rat.

Even now i doubt she has 50% in the state.

She doesn't even though her opponent was bashed unmercifully by his own party mouthpieces for a week.

We should urge this guy to get out

and replace him with whom??? Steelman who came in 3rd and piss off the Brunner supporters who came in 2nd???

and let Sarah be Sarah.

If the Sarah we all saw the other night on Greta is the real Sarah then she needs to go sulk for awhile and read up on Missouri election law.

Speaking of Hannity’s radio program, the other day either he, or a caller, said that the guy who interviewed Akin (Charles Jaco) was a “conservative” reporter!

What a load of BS!

Jaco has repeatedly called us Tea Partiers, “Tea Baggers!”

And, he was even petty minded enough to personally threaten me with legal action for a video I posted on my website showing him clowning around and rehearsing a fake air raid for a CNN broadcast during the first Gulf War.

I watch Jaco just about every other day, here in Missouri on the libtarded FOX 2 News. He is NOT a “Conservative” by any stretch of the imagination.

Hannity is a moron if he thinks Jaco isn’t biased against Akin!

Cheers
