Obama Campaign: ‘America Doesn’t Need a Birther-in-Chief’ (Now, a video ad on Romney's joke)
ABC News ^ | Friday, August 24, 2012 | Devin Dwyer

The Obama campaign is branding Mitt Romney an aspiring “birther-in-chief,” after the presumptive GOP nominee seemed to joke Friday about the long-debunked claim that President Obama was not born in the United States.

In a 15-second web video produced nine hours after Romney made the remark on a campaign stop in Michigan, Team Obama accused Romney of “embracing unfounded conspiracy theories, distracting from real issues.”

“Holding out hope Romney had a vision for the middle class? Think again,” the narrator said.

Hahahaaa.... Obama is one touchy girl.

By his over reaction, people may get the idea that he was really born in Kenya or somewhere.

The Diversion Continues.

Even if Barry Soetoro aka Barack Hussein Obama had been birthed in the Lincoln Bedroom of the White House Obama is NOT a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN.

I was at the gym and saw Romney make the joke. I thought it was funny.

Anderson Cooper and all his liberal media minions at CNN went into apoplectic seizures.

He didn’t even mention Obama’s name.

Liberals are humorless buffoons.

If...yes if...Obama (& campaign) was not worried about the BC issue, then they would never had responded. They know this is an issue that will not go away...because they have no “legal” way to prove other wise. Even Obamas’ own attorney in court admitted they had no “legal” BC, that is the reason no BC has ever been submitted as evidence in a court of law (all together now....perjury).

“Now, nowhere did Romney mention Obama’s name - wonder why he thought it was about him???”

GUILTY IS...AS...GUILTY DOES!

As I recall that was the Mario Apuzzo NJ case earlier this year, and I think they pull the OBot lawyer because of that little unforced error. LoL.

I’m not unhappy with his campaign so far (especially when compared to McCain’s) but I reserve judgment on his governing, of course. Wanting to be President and being a good one aren’t the same thing, as we know from Obozo. But of course he has to win the White House before we can ever find out what kind of President he’ll be. This is definitely not a case of better the devil you know. It’s not even possible for Romney to hate white people like Obozo does, that’ll be one difference.

Romney hit a grand slam today.

Yes, and Andrew Brietbart was on third base, Sarah Palin was on second, and Orly Taitz was on first. The 3 greatest patriots of my lifetime, other than Ronald Reagan!

Got some explaining to do why he put in to schools in the USA for a scholarship as a “foreign” student. He’s been a huckster.

“I’m not unhappy with his campaign so far (especially when compared to McCain’s)”

I have reserved judgement on Romney’s campaign. Although having stated that, when? And I ask again, when (not during my lifetime) has a incumbent (I shudder to utter the words...President...no not since January 20th, 2009) attacked an opponent prior to the respective convention?

Admittedly I am not a political strategist...but..time to move the talking points away from entitlements, SS, medicare, abortion, contraception, the fake war on women (there is a real war against white heterosexual men).

Right now the most important issue is the, over the cliff, economy! Case closed!

Do some research into the talking point -—> Romney care...really study this and discover what really transpired (me thinks the Obammy group will try this talking point.....backfire.

The Dems will soon have ads with the Mormons dressed in white sheets burning crosses. It is about to get hideous! They are losing, so Axelrod is about to open the flood gates on 4 million gallons of raw Illinois sewage.

Coming to a TV near you.

The new politics of hope and change,... and Chicago gangland style killings.

This was deliberate not only to strike a nerve, but to cause a different much more damaging controversy to be overshadowed by this...you know of what I speak. I have to say, quite a sly move.

And less attention played to Todd Akin...which I bet was one reason Romney did this.

"this is the place" where he was born, he pointing down towards the ground, with a gesture which clearly indicated he meant "the planet earth."

Clear to who? He was speaking to the people in the state where he was born.

True, but his pointing down had to mean SOMETHING! I suppose he could have meant that he was born right on that very spot ... but I think my other theory, that he was referring to the planet earth, and comparing himself to Obama, who he believes to be an outerspace alien, is more likely.

Okay, mazda77 wants me to state what should be obvious ... I'M JUST KIDDING. But joking aside, there is a point to all this. How much difference is there between my absurd interpretation of Romney's joke, and Obama's absurd and self-serving interpretation which deems this remark to indicate Romney's full support of the Birthers. IMHO - not much.

Good move on the part of Romney.
It turns the tables on Obama and shows thin skinned he really is.

Romney just served notice that he isn’t going to let the Obama Media run his campaign.

For five years Obama has been getting away with making sly comments to dig at his opponents, then pretending that they misunderstood or over reacted to a harmless atatement.

He has also been protected by the media from facing the kinds of attacks and criticism he deals out to others. As soon as anyone criticized him they were attacked by the media as a racist, a crazy Birther or ridiculed in other ways.
