Update: looks like two cops involved used their weapons and they fired a combined 16 rounds, seven of which hit the murderer. Nine passersby were injured, six of them were grazed by ricocheting bullet fragments and did not require medical attention. Three did require medical attention, with one requiring an overnight stay.

Read Navy Patriot's post #13 here.
It's interesting you refer to the civilians who were shot by the NYPD as an "injury."
Last time I checked, one gets injured when falling out of a tree and one gets WOUNDED when hit by a bullet.
Regardless, New York and it's Stalinist democrat population can rot in hell for all I care.

I certainly believe that data, given the recent revelation that the NYPD shot more civilians than the perp did.

The reason that civilians do such a good overall job, including avoiding hitting innocent bystanders, in responding to criminal threat in self defense situations, is because there are consequences for screwing up.
For cops, the consequences for screwing up are several weeks off at full pay and bennies, and the taxpayer picking up the tab for the tort.
