It’s a story that’s not often told. Mitt Romney at his family’s summer home in Wolfeboro, N.H. on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee whisking into the night on a Jet Ski with two of his sons to rescue a drowning family of four, their two friends, and their dog.
On the weekend of July 4th, 2003, the Romney family was enjoying their picturesque summer home in New Hampshire on the shore of Lake Winnipesaukee. In the early evening, according to reports at the time, Craig Romney and his older brother Josh were cleaning up the beach while their father rummaged through the garage. Suddenly, screams from the lake broke the silence.
"We heard a whole bunch of screaming," Josh Romney told the Boston Herald. The Romney brothers and their father quickly raced to their Jet Skis. "We tore out of there and my dad hopped on the other Jet Ski and came out right after us."
The screams came from Robert Morrissey, of New Jersey, his wife, their two adult children, two family friends, and the family dog.

Romney and his sons didn’t save those people someone else did.
I’m not a fan of Romney, few here really are, but this is a great story about him and his character.
He’s also right to let someone else bring it to light.
Just wish he were a Conservative.

Obama would have been like Mayor Nagin screaming and melting down and flailing away while the family drowned.
He may not be rock solid conservative, but he’s a good man who loves his country. More than we can say about the current occupants of the White House.

Romney has class that is why this hasn’t come up before.
You hear a lot of stories about Romney being a decent human being. There also are a bunch of stories about him helping people in smaller ways too. One guy fell off a ladder trying to get a hornet’s nest off the side of his house and Romney went over to his house himself and got rid of the hornet’s nest. Romney giving money to people in the community in need. It reminds me of George Bush Senior. He was portrayed as some out-of-touch plutocrat too but then you find out how much he did for others and how decent he was.

Interesting. Thanks for posting. Contrast Romney’s low-profile on this with the typical dem’s embellishment of everything that happens to them. Remember how Hillary! was “almost shot down” when she visited the middle east? and how “Chelsea was almost killed” on 9-11?
