Deafness. Platitudes. Martyr complex. Obnoxious campaign-manager son (”Five questions, that’s it.”). Living in a bubble. I regret I voted for Akin. I didn’t realize he was this inept politically. The more he speaks, the bigger hole he digs. But if he’s the only alternative to McCaskill on November 6, I’ll still vote for him. At least he would push the button the right way in the Senate.

Same here, but it won’t matter, he will run out of money before he can win.
He had to cancel a big fund raiser tonight projected to raise one million dollars, because no one wanted to be associated with him. He touts he raised $125,000.00 this week, that is pennies compared to McCaskill.
Money is the breast milk of politics, and Akin will soon be starving.
We (Republicans) either vote FOR Akin or get royally screwed...
Am I happy about his decision? Hell no. But we have no choice now. Forget the Sept. 25 deadline to petition the court. The only deadline that matters now is November 6, 2012.

An excellent post. I’ve been as hard on Akin (and his FR supporters) as anyone - and will continue to be. But when push comes to shove, I’ll vote for the R behind the name - even if the candidate is intolerable.
100 Percent agree.
If he’s our “choice,” I’ll hold my nose and vote for him.
