If it's a legitimate loser, the money breast has a way of shutting down.
We (Republicans) either vote FOR Akin or get royally screwed...
Am I happy about his decision? Hell no. But we have no choice now. Forget the Sept. 25 deadline to petition the court. The only deadline that matters now is November 6, 2012.
well I was hoping he has some charisma to fall back on to use against “The Claire Witch Project” but he doesn’t he is as dull as dishwater!
oh well it is what it is....maybe “The Claire Witch Project” can pull a boner to pull Akin back up?
Even when he was talking to Hannity it was like the ramblings of a mental patient
No, what made Romney happy was McCain/Palin losing. Romney and the liberal wing of the party are out to destroy conservatives and love seeing them lose elections and get trashed in the press. We're simply trying to keep the party a cohesive, functioning unit, which takes one for the team like the Democrats do. It's Romney's RINO wing that is hellbent on driving conservative values out of the party and marginalizing those voices.
Yeh -- sure -- that's like a vote for McCaskill.
Are the people suggesting write-ins now the same people who said people were throwing their vote away if they voted Constitution Party for president instead of Romney?
Maybe he and his supporters will commit mass suicide after he loses.
Too Hot for GOP TV: Newt Gingrich, Sarah Palin, Allen West and Donald Trump
have in common? They all have endorsed Mitt Romney and are actively working to see him elected. Why don't you?
The only credit that I can give him is that he is NOT taking instructions from Bark at the Moon loonies like Crazy Annie Coulter and Sean Hannity, elitist snobs like Mittens Romney and ALL the moaning, hand-wringing, Chicken Little the world is falling, Pubbie elitist cheerleaders on this site who seem to think a molehill in Missouri is a mountain that the Republican Elite led by Mittens cannot climb.
I am little tired of hearing how selfish Akin is, as if there is such thing as a politician that is not selfish. Todd is selfish and he is a selfish NOBODY in the scheme of things.
Mittens Romney on the other is a politician and he is selfish too.
Why isn't Sarah Palin at the Pubbie elite convention?
Because Team Mittens made the selfish decision that it would not be good for the guy at the top of the ticket.
I have watched political conventions since I was nine and Sarah Palin's acceptance speech was the most energizing moment that I have ever seen at a convention.
Team Mittens could not take the chance of having Sarah suck the air out of the building for all the Pubbie elitists who speak before the convention.
Her star shine too bright and Team Mittens was just too scared that her light would outshine the one at the top of the ticket.
The Pubbie elitists can have their stupid convention and if anyone has trouble sleeping, I advise they record Mitten's acceptance speech for later use, as it will surely put one quickly to sleep without the use of chemicals.
I have a Sarah Steelman sign I will sell you. Real cheap...
“But if hes the only alternative to McCaskill on November 6, Ill still vote for him. At least he would push the button the right way in the Senate.”
An excellent post. I’ve been as hard on Akin (and his FR supporters) as anyone - and will continue to be. But when push comes to shove, I’ll vote for the R behind the name - even if the candidate is intolerable.
I think that his detractors should commit mass suicide. After all, they’re the ones doing the whining.
In fact, if all is lost, why wait until after the election.
Sadly, the Constitution Party is not running a candidate in the Missouri Senate race. If they were, he or she would have almost as much of a chance of winning as does Todd Akin.
The liberal wing of the party? Like Ann Coulter? Paul Weyrich? Robert Bork? Sarah Palin? Christine O'Donnell?
I’d love to do some data mining on his recent donations.
You can bet most also drink at Starbucks, drive a Prius and shop at Whole Foods.
“If it’s a legitimate loser, the money breast has a way of shutting down.”
Now that is funny.
It's up to MO voters to vote HER OUT!
This Akin has a lot of personal handshaking and rehabilitating to do.
I'm not in MO, so I can only pray for him and I will.
I wish him luck too, Jaz, we need that seat.
From a sure thing to a long shot. Just Damn.
