I asked for CANDIDATES not talkers. Heck, you should have added a few names from Free Republic if that's the best you can do.

Yes, Steve King is up for reelection. Other than him, I'm not following where candidates stand on this. I can't name you any that have called for him to step down either. I don't sit around scanning different candidates' web sites across the country for their positions every day. And candidates in an election year are certainly not the first or the tenth type of person I go to to find a principled position on something that I can use as any kind of a moral compass.

Yes, Steve King is up for reelection.

Well, at least you were able to provide one. Better than anybody else could do.

The Akinites are part of the group who wants Obama re-elected to teach the GOP Establishment a lesson.

Total bunk. I'm voting for Romney/Ryan while holding my nose. What Akin'ites are are principled people who don't feel the need to crucify a man who committed no sin. There's no principle in the world that says Akin should be asked to step down that doesn't ALSO say Romney should be asked to step down. Romney's also heading for an election loss according to the polls at this point including historically low favorability numbers to an unprecedented degree.

Jim Robinson, for one.

This is what Jim said at http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2922134/posts?page=157#157

“My take is the baby is innocent. Always is. Akin is pro life. If he’s the candidate, I support him.”

I’m holding my nose and voting for Romney/Ryan too.

I’m not referring to Akin’s legit supporters from within the state. I’m referring to the group that has hijacked Akin’s campaign from the outside and are running with it nationally. They are of the same group that wants Obama to win because they want to teach the GOP a lesson. Unfortunately they are giving Akin a false sense of support. He is going to lose.

All you have to do is scan the history of their posts.

I would vote for Akin in a heart beat because of his voting record if he is the candidate against Claire and I lived in Missouri.

That does not mean he can win now. His voting record is NOT at issue. It’s where he is now as a candidate that’s the problem.

Urging Aikin to `give `em hell’ reminds me of what Truman said when someone said that to him for about the hundredth time:

“I’m not giving anyone hell. I’m just telling the truth and they think it’s hell.”

GOP elite: Go piss up a rope!

Ann Coulter thinks a write-in could work. As she points out it worked last time in Alaska (regrettably).

“For crying out loud, Akin is not intolerable.”

Yes, he is. Anyone who thinks that a woman can resist a rape-induced pregnancy is intolerable and possesses the knowledge of a sixth grader.

I don’t think this was a gaffe at all. Akin meant exactly what he said. His “apology” is a thinly-veiled attempt at political damage control.

Worse yet are the apologists for Akin - those who waver between saying it was only a “gaffe” and then later say that he was right.

That's your opinion. I couldn't care less if people believe human beings rode dinosaurs 1,000 years ago if they have voted conservative for the last 10 years. I don't care if Akin sucks at bowling. I'm not voting for a bowler, a historian, or a scientist, I'm voting for a Congressman who needs to know when to pass or not to pass a law. And this guy knows it far better than either Romney or Ryan (who talks a good game yet has voted exactly the wrong way on virtually every major fiscal issue in his career). I'd cheer if we could replace our presidential ticket and would not be happy at all if Akin was replaced.

Anyone who mentions Sean Hannity as a “conservative”...si not a conservative.

Actually all I said was that he wasn't a "pro-abort liberal". You are trying to start a secondary argument which I am not going to entertain. Nice try, though.

I don't know about a landslide but I do believe the margin of victory will be more than a point or 2. Something is stirring across the Nation. It is as if a collective awakening is beginning to take place among folks and realization is setting in over how badly they have been duped by a disingenuous Administration and a compliant media.

100 Percent agree.
If he’s our “choice,” I’ll hold my nose and vote for him.
