I have no idea. Akin has been totally blind-sided to the real effects that the media has on this one statement he made. I can't imagine anyone with a brain at this point telling him to "hang in there." It's like watching a house burn and you know there is someone inside. It is the most helpless feeling you could ever imagine. Todd's house is burning and he is in it!
Its stunning really.
But there ARE a LOT of people apparently telling him to stay in- Huckabee and some other strong social conservatives. They see this as a way to finally tell the rest of the conservative movement they are really running the show and they had better get used to it. Little do they realize what true harm and damage they are doing to the PRO LIFE cause.
It’s inexcusable.
