is this the end?
That Akin would risk an otherwise safe seat to satisfy his own ego is despicable, cowardly, irrational, mean-spirited and counter-productive.
Were I a Missourian, I would vote for Akin vs McCaskill...all the while regretting that he alone is responsible for losing the seat.
It's gone, JJ, it's gone.
One thing at a time. I want to get the guy out of office that believes in infanticide first and Akin has not helped that in any way shape or form.
The idiot is doubling down. he’s staying in the race and asking for more money (from the democrats who want him to stay in). He should be stripped of all committee posts in the house forthwith.
Speak for yourself. Noot blows goats.
“Cut it out. Only hysterical hyperbole is permitted on this matter.”

These are the facts, no hysteria and Republicans are stoning Akin. Is it they pretend, and approve of abortion
exceptions and sodomy?
Oh, so...promoting, believing the exceptions to abortion are not toxic or against God? Promoting the sodomite agenda is not toxic either, its not an abomination?
Denying Jesus is 2nd person of the Holy Trinity, always
was, always will be is not toxic to your soul?
Providing abortion in RomneyCare is not evil or toxic to
your soul?
Romneys record....Jesus mercy.
Huckabee needs to be called home too.
I detest Elmer Gantry. He’s a fraud, a charlatan, and a grifter.
What is scary is that so many of the socons here love this con-man. But he’s a “reverend” and claims to be an “evangelical”.....so they line up to kiss his hayseed hillbilly ass.
He’s not quitting.
AKIN FOR PRESIDENT!
He won't lose if he's given his normal funding by the party. If the Dems keep hammering him over one misstatement that is inconsequential to his policies and which he apologized for, they'll be considered a joke by November. Voters will say, "Is that all you got?" But he needs the party money to run ads. Any Republican candidate will lose if they're outspent 12 to 1.
Mike HUCKABEE??? pfffttt...seriously? He’s a smug, self-righteous, jackass.
What the folks who are defending Akin- for whatever reason- do NOT seem capable of GRASPING is that we are fighting for the United States of America’s future and not the future of some pleasant, if bumbling, fellow’s political career. If he wants to serve, there are numerous ways he can do so without continuing in this race.
MY concern is the economy.
You socons would rather have a third-world economy but no abortion and gay marriage.
BTW, I’m more libertarian on social issues. I’m pro-life but I could care less who’s zoomin’ who.
I’m educated, not a hayseed.
You are completely misunderstanding my point (but I’ll admit it could be read that way in retrospect). Let me be clear - I want Akin gone - for the good of my country but NOT because the GOPe wants him gone - that is coincidental for me. The GOPe generally does all they can to subvert true conservatives, so when I say “screw the party,” that’s where I’m coming from. The GOPe has NOT been conservatives nor the Tea Party’s friend in too many cases (Think Scazzafava (sp) in PA). You misread my comment to think I want Akin to stay - nothing could be further from my mind! If he stays, we are 99% certain to hand that seat to the Democrats.
You’re not getting my meaning. I wnat Aikin GONE! But not because of the GOP establishment. See my reply #192.
The party won't do it. They can't do it. They've been caught by their hasty reaction. They jumped the gun and said that they were cutting off his funding, figuring that would force him out. Now that didn't work, but if the RNC backs down now then they'll never hear the end of it. Romney and Priebus and Rowe and the rest will have to explain why they all of a sudden think Akin's remarks were OK and whether or not they believe that a rape can lead to pregnancy.
Akin is on his own in terms of funding, and had better start beating the 501c3 bushes.
You misunderstand (I admit I didn’t state it in the best way). I want Akin GONE!! Just not because the GOP establishment wants him gone, but because I know if he isn’t replaced we WILL hand that seat to the Dems. See my reply #192.
Oh, promoting, believing the exceptions to abortion are not toxic or against God? Promoting the sodomite agenda is not toxic either, its not an abomination?
“Where does handing Macaskill an easy victory because of stubbornness fit in with all that?”

You didn’t include the entire list of Romney’s beliefs and
record....hmmmm....I wonder why?
Trust God, vote for someone who actually follows Him. That’s how to get rid of Claire. What’s stopping you from
voting for Akin? Diabolical Disorientation, the approval
of Romney and the hate for Akin.
CNN, MSNBC, Fox -— only MSNBC covered Akin’s presser-— and only for the few seconds he took to say he was staying in the race. After that announcement, they immediately cut away.
I'm not just a socon, I'm conservative on all planks, social, fiscal and national security. I'm equally disturbed by Obama's moves towards immoral social policies as I am his moves towards communistic economic policies. The truth is without social conservatism, you will have a third world economy. Only family values resulting in a self-sustaining population can generate economic growth. Only a belief in a higher power can prevent people from worshiping the government and looking to its "great leaders" for answers. And only a belief in divine retribution can prevent people from having the sense of entitlement that leads them to loot money from the "rich" to redistribute money to themselves.
xsmommy!! GOOD to see you.
