Obamas Democratic support in the state remains largely unchanged at 96%, and voters not affiliated with either major party still favor Romney by 20 points. But Republican support in Missouri for the partys likely nominee has fallen from 94% in late July to 85% now,
It would be best if the Conservative/GOP movement quit obsessing about Akin, you are cutting your own throats.
Conservatives are fracturing their own base in MO for NO reason. Get back on message! Quit falling for the Democrat propaganda machines tactics of diversion and distraction.
Even without Akin the GOP looks to pick up 4-8 Senate seats. All you are doing here is shooting your own side in the foot! Time to get quit responding to the Democrat propaganda machines every ploy and get back on message!
This is about the fifth or sixth time you’ve cut and pasted this response into a thread. Republican support for BOTH Romney and Akin has fallen, so your post does not support the point you think you are making.
If that were the case, Akin would be climbing in the polls. Instead, Akin's own polls mirror the drop we now see in Romney's numbers.
That tells me Akin has created a negative effect on the Republican Party which is the ONLY thing that Romney and Akin have in common.
Be nice if “conservative” pundits bothered to read the poll they are citing rather cling to their emotion based opinions. Romney loss of support in MO comes from REPUBLICANS deserting him over his statement on Akin.
///
great point. exactly!
...Romney is still “on probation” with many conservatives.
and first chance, he throws one under the bus ?!?
if he really wants the base to stay home in November...
this is how to do it.
If Akin quits the race, this goes away. Romney isn’t running a race in MO only. He is running a national race...if he doesn’t distance himself from Akin, he will lose Virginia-—where women are much more moderate.
The bottom line is this: Blaming the GOP or Romney for the mess Akin created is like blaming a wife for an abusive husband. Akin needs to fall on his sword, quickly. Draft one of the women candidates (one was endorsed by Sarah Palin) and move on. It’s what needs to happen.
“Conservatives are fracturing their own base in MO for NO reason. Get back on message! Quit falling for the Democrat propaganda machines tactics of diversion and distraction.”
Remember “I am not a witch!”?
The meme is SET, this dude has been PALINIZED, and the Mainstream media is giving the Democrats MIllions and millions of dollars in free air-time pimping the meme to the sheep, making Akin a NATIONAL ISSUE.
If there is one thing that drives me nuts about Freepers, it’s how many discount the POWER OF PROPAGANDA.
Just because WE are smart enough not to fall for it, because we are informed, doesn’t mean that the vast Majority of the sheeple who get their primary news from the Alphabet evening news shows, or Comedy Central are.
