Zacarias Moussaoui, the would-be 20th 9/11 hihjacker, spent quite a bit of time while awaiting trial writing pro se, motions, briefs, and memoranda. They were popular reading, and law clerks in the EDVA passed them around for their entertainment value.

To be honest, while some of them were poignant in context, most of them read like some weird fusion of Kafka, Sesame Street and Perry Mason scripts.
