Yet another GOP group is sending Republican senate candidate Todd Akin a strong message after his remarks about "legitimate rape....

hes being asked to step down because hes a total failure at promoting pro-life views.

Dont look now but Willard is not even trying to be pro-life views...
So you intend to “ask Willard to step down because hes a total failure at promoting pro-life views”
and if not then why hot ???
Hmmmmmmmmmmm ?????
Kid Ive been in the pro-life movement for nearly 40 years...
I was pro-life befire it was cool to be...
Akin has not “hurt” the pro-life movement...
The talking points from the Romney campaign designed to destroy an opponent of their abortion-on-demand agenda are what just might destroy the pro-life movement...
They are trying hard enough...
But one unfortunate patriot Amertican who has fought so hard for the unborn is not going to stop the fight against abortion...
The very suggestion is suspect...
who in the congress has such a record on pro-life voting ???
Unfortunately Romney was nominated with it being well known that he's a flip flopping RINO so there's no justification to ask him to step down because of any failure to promote his pro-life views. I never heard him discuss any.
Akin, on the other hand, has set back the very movement he ran on (and he was one we were depending on to keep a President Romney in check)if he were to win the seat in the Senate.
That's not a very encouraging statement when I look around. Wish you hadn't said that.
What kind of a message does that sent to a potential child molester who may be looking at 12 year old girls?
Pffffffft.
He's down 10 points to a Democrat who advocates abortion on demand. There's been an utter reversal in the polls since he made his idiotic comments, and he refuses to quit the race so another pro-life candidate can be selected for the good of the pro-life movement.
The man is a megalomaniac nincompoop.
Giving Democrats political ammunition hurts the pro-life movement. Every time.
I think this is a case of an Anti-Romney who is only hiding behind the pro-life movement to justify a hatred for the man for some other masked reason.
There's no way a serious pro-lifer would be satisfied with how Akin is handling his campaign.
I suspect it's the "Fast and Furious" of abortion. The end justifies the means.
Perhaps the plan was to vote for Obama so that Wallard lose, vote Akin in so that Obama will not push forward anymore of his liberal policies.
Only problem with that plan is, Congress is in recess when Obama says they are in recess.
“and the distraction that the current situation surrounding the Congressman would cause.”
So, all the demonrats have to do to drive a Republican out of a race is create “distraction?”
Does anybody know another term that means the same thing as “circular firing squad?” As apt as that term is, I’m getting tired of it.

Well thats just it isnt it...
you cant have been depending on him that much and it cant be that important if you are willing to just throw him under the bus just because the pro-abortion Wilard demands you do...
stand up to Willard and his abortion-on-demand agenda and help Akin...
Thats if the reactionary drama queen Willard left him anything...
That scorched Earth torches and pitchforks “Burn the wich” treatment was pretty thorough...
I wonder how weaselly Willard would have stood up under such a kangeroo court lynching...
“What kind of a message does that sent to a potential child molester who may be looking at 12 year old girls?”
None. Pedophilia—attraction to pre-pubescent children—is a sickness, not a rational choice. If such disordered individuals cared about the welfare of their victims, they wouldn’t be raping them in the first place.
Since the remarks of sunday night did nothing but hurt the pro-life movement the other republicans (Conservative, Tea Party, Right-wingers, RINOs, GOPe) all ran away... they did not want that blood on their hands. I don't blame them.
Believe me, if Romney dropped 15-20 points against his opponent in the polls due to a gigantic gaffe, the chorus asking him to step down would be even louder, and I’d be right there joining them.
But since he hasn’t, the comparison is invalid. Akin isn’t being singled out because he’s pro-life, he’s being asking to step down out of hopes that there is still a chance to salvage the seat with someone else after he killed his own chances.
Akin acted like Biden, and is getting support from democrats who are desperate to keep him on the ticket so he loses to McCaskill and helps Democrats run against other candidates with his words.
Bravo to those good Republicans who are standing up and demanding more accountability and less foot-in-mouth disease from our elected servants and candidates.
If Akin wasnt a selfish careerist pol out for himself, he would have taken the hint and bowed out in favor of a stronger candidate. It sad he’s putting himself first and party & country last.
“On the side of millions of unborn babies...”
Todd Akin did more damage to the prolife movement with his words, setting back the movement and impairing its image, than many on the other side.
The prolife movement needs better leaders to represent the cause, rather than embarrass it.
“The pro-life movement is no closer to overturning Roe V Wade than we were in 1973...”
Ras poll has Akin down 10 points to McCaskill. And now that Akin is 100% lock to lose to McCaskill, he will deliver another vote for liberal judges. His damage to the prolife cause will continue after he’s forgotten.
With some people it’s not even worth bothering at this point. They have so convinced themselves of their persecution complex that they really believe Akin is being singled out because he’s pro-life.
They are completely tone deaf when it comes to politics and have no idea that Akin’s statements made him a non-creditable candidate that is unelectable. They think “it’s a minor mistake” and are convinced that people are only jumping on him because they want to punish the “pro-life candidate”.
Unfortunately, I think Akin himself is one of those people, and the fact that his campaign manager is his son means that he has nobody near him who will tell him what’s really going on.
Sorry. I don't believe in that. Franky, killing babies before or after birth is sick, sinful and should be against the law.
Akin will not be forgotten if he cost us the Senate. We’ll be referring to Obamacare as Obama-Akin Care and make him carry it to his grave.
Blaming the GOPe and Romney for losing the Senate and possibly the White House has been thrown out the window unfortunately. Thanks to Akin.
Now he and his supporters will own any defeat we suffer.
The RINOs are happy about that.
and unfortunately in the eyes of the media, RINOs and the GOPe we conservatives and Tea Party members will also be the blame for the defeat (even though most of us wanted Akin to drop out).
We will be blamed. Mark my words.
“Akin is not being asked to step down because hes pro-life, hes being asked to step down because hes a total failure at promoting pro-life views.”
Well said. Very succinct.
