The administration doth protest too much in this case; lots of bluster but no action, which leads me to think it's probably going to be flattering or at least neutral to the administration, or be a nice companion piece to the upcoming movie.
Frankly, I truly hope I'm wrong on this.

“Prior restraint” is a big first amendment issue and the government cannot actually stop publication unless they go to court and prove such publication would harm troops or national security.
That is why I think they know the book will embarrass them and that isn’t enough to even get the 9th Circuit Court to back them.
The Messiah may be trying to lean on the publisher to stop publication, but because of the news release and drafts already out there, any leaning would be ineffective and cause more interest in the book.
The Messiah and his butt-kissers lost this one. . .can’t try and stop publication (need court support), and they can’t force the publisher to stop publishing because then people would REALLY want to know what’s in there. So, they just stew in their anger. . .
