Don’t get me wrong, I at first gave Steelman a look when I was researching all of the Senate races across the country and then wanted to know more about the others. Frankly, Brunner impressed me the most because he was not a politician much in the same way as Johnson in Wisconsin. When I saw that Akin polled the worst against McCaskill of the three, that was telling me something. Then I saw the ad McCaskill did that gave Akin a glowing referral for a Rock Ribbed Conservative and I knew something was wrong. Did a little checking and saw Missouri was an open primary state and an awful feeling came over me. It was affirmed when the results came in counter to the latest polling before the election. I knew what had happened and wondered when the next shoe would drop. It certainly didn’t take long.
The Dems knew more about this guy that the Republicans did and just waited to push that button.
Well, failing a reasoned rebuttal by someone in the know, I’m willing to entertain those thoughts. Thanks for the mention.
