It was wrong. It was scientifically incorrect. And..above all...it was repugnant. And I too am a woman. One does not have to look far to see why the democrats get the women’s vote. I would not vote for Akin in a million years. He is amazingly ignorant.

I don’t argue that he’s wrong. But I don’t understand what is repugnant about it. He likely believes it and I’m sure he heard it from someone he trusts (a doctor perhaps —they aren’t all always right I have learned thru the years, I present you with breastfeeding advice as evidence). So, given his view that abortion is the killing of a human, and if his expertise is not biology/science/medicine, why is what he said “repugnant”? Why is it simply not wrong?

Sure. Rats support women.

Only rats know that every husband can be replaced with a monthly check and multitudes of government programs. Rats have obviously supported families for generations. Just look at all the single moms and our prisons filled with their once babies, now men who couldn't identify their fathers in a police lineup.

Stop feeling. Start thinking.

I consider what he said factually true although bumbled.

I agree that we are seeing a nation put politics ahead of life.

You, DallasSun, have taken alot of lefty positions over the years so I’m not surprised you find him repugnant.

Are you a doctor or medical reseacher? If not what are you basing this on?

What exactly is repugnant about his statement?

Why do women vote for democrats? I can't think of a single legitimate reason to vote for a Democrat, ever.

I am much less concerned that Akin didn't take a class on "Women's Anatomy" than I am that the sitting President apparently flunked out on "Economics 101".

Tempest, meet teapot.

There are studies of alien abduction and “reputable” people who believe in it, doesn’t make it any more true than this cockamamie idea of women’s bodies preventing conception in the instance of rape . I’m also a woman, and Akin is full of it; an ego driven individual who would destroy the chances of overturning Obamacare and saving babies via conservative seats on the Sup Ct were we only able to take the Senate [and the presidency].
