Biden Jokes He’ll Be ‘The Speaker’ at GOP Convention
MINNEAPOLIS – Vice President Joe Biden joked about his role at the Republican National Convention next week, telling a group of press he would be a featured speaker in Tampa.
“Any of you going to be in Florida?” Biden asked reporters during a campaign stop. “Well, I’m the speaker at the convention. I’m gonna be down there.”
Earlier in the day, the Obama campaign announced Biden would spend time in Florida on Monday and Tuesday, including stops in Tampa, where the GOP will hold its convention next week.
Biden popped into football practice at Minneapolis South High School, the home of the Tigers, Tuesday afternoon. When a player asked him if he and Obama were going to “put Mitt Romney down,” Biden was careful to answer, saying he’d rephrase the question so the press wouldn’t misconstrue his answer.

Barry is sending his head boy in to try to screw up the GOP convention. That’s probably a good thing because the GOP is so serious about saving Medicare, getting the jobs thing fixed and restoring the economy that I’d be willing to bet everyone forgot to hire a clown for entertainment. It was nice of the DNC to send their head clown, Rimshot Joe. He’s always good for a few laughs.
In the real world, if Biden joked “I’m the Vice President of the United States”, all the reporters would dissolve in laughter.
An opportunity they somehow forgot to offer Palin, Cheney & Quayle.
I’d actually pay to see him speak there....it’d be a riot.

I think Rimshot Joe is being “taken out of context”. He meant that he was going to be “THE JOKER” at the GOP convention.
They SHOULD invite Biden to speak at the GOP convention! Not only would it be hilarious for the delegates, but you can guarantee that Biden will say something so gaffe-worthy that it would be in the news for the next few weeks.

Biden actually told the press he would be a “Tampax convention spokesman” and the they went with the flow.
No, no, the reporter got it wrong. It should have said Biden speaks that he’ll be the joke at the RNC.
Actually every time that fool opens his mouth he helps Republicans everywhere. I say put him on the stage and let him speak all he wants.
