Americans Continue to Give Obama Low Marks on the Economy
Low rating on the economy may be more problematic than even lower deficit rating
PRINCETON, NJ -- Three months before the election, President Barack Obama gets good marks from Americans for his handling of terrorism, fair marks for education and foreign affairs, but poor marks on immigration and three big economic issues: the federal budget deficit, creating jobs, and the economy generally.

But if it is your young daughter raped by some stranger, will you tell her to go through that and then raise that baby as your own?
Please think before you answer. Don't try to be so pure or force your religious views on others. They are yours to act on, but they don't belong to everyone else in this country.
Think of it in terms of the Constitution and our law.
I hope you are right, but remember that since then the RATS have had 32 years to perfect the art of cheating and vote fraud. The community organizer has proven to be a master at it. Romney will need to lead by at least 5% or it will be a dead heat with vote fraud factored in.
...and if folks knew what’s really going on, nobama’s marks for terrorism would be like the others or worse.
With those percentages, the media can't sell fluff, people are FEELING the depression directly.
The last few months has been real rough around here. A lot of companies that have been just hanging on for the last few years are begining to have layoffs and going concern problems.
Usually, in past recessions it was a great time to be in business if you had capitol because you could get so much done for so little money and people were willing to work hard to get the job done.
This time is very different from the past. A lot of companies are so beat down they have little or no working capitol to get the job done so when they actually do get jobs they have a hard time getting on site and getting the job done.
On one project, we have had major disruptions as two contractors go BK during the job and several have had major layoffs. Our contractors report similar issues with their sub contractors and suppliers. On site performance has been below par and often reaches dysfunctional levels. These are not fly by night operations, they all are contractors and suppliers that are highly respected and have been in business for at least 30 years and we are carefully vetting them before we give them a job.
In past recessions lead times for parts and supplies was very short due to lack of workload and the fact that companies were hungry for business. This time around lead times have been horrible and suppliers have become very unreliable and things always seem to run many weeks past contracted delivery dates.
The high cost of energy seems to really dragging things down across the board. Our transportation and shipping costs are sky high and fuel bills for our commercial vehicles and trucks are simply astronomical.
In fact our fuel bills are so high they are actually impacting our budget and draining assets away from more productive uses of cash not the least of which is reinvesting in more energy efficient machines or energy saving processes.
Despite the high unemployment rates, finding qualified employees is actually much harder than one would expect and the response to our help wanted ads is a surprising low with just a hand full of applicants when you would expect tons of applicants lining up to interview.
Theft, vandalism and outright fraud have been problems at a level we have not seen in the past downturns. Theft of fuel is common and god help you if you have to secure copper wire. We have had several contractors have to stop work or resign from projects due to theft of their vehicles and equipment. Our perception is that there is lots and lots of insurance fraud going down as companies use dubious theft, damage or fires claims to generate capitol or to cash out of failing businesses that they can't sell.
Never seen anything like the current situation it in my whole career.
Yer a nut.
What this poll shows me is that even dumb people think Obama’s bad.
What this poll shows me is that even dumb people think Obama’s bad.
For months and months and months, the polls have held Zero rock-steady at 43% approval. I don’t believe that for a second. Where I work, which employs approx. 5000 people, the Obama stickers have all disappeared off cars in the parking lot and even the most degenerate O supporters have shut up around the office (if cornered, they usually mutter something like, “I’m sick of politics!” or “I just don’t have time these days to follow it!”).
Romney’s fundraising is going up up up while O is spending more than he taking in (just like his crappy Jimmy Carter economy) and Romney is getting huge crowds while O can’t fill seats in his hometown Chicago.
Steady at 43%? That’s as bogus as his economic recovery.
This whole Akin bit is ridiculous. And both Republicans and, disappointingly, conservatives are all too willing to play the liberals’ game of “gotcha”. The man apologized for the error in words and that should be that; his principle of protecting the unborn however they are conceived is morally right.
How about we concentrate on what McCaskil, Obamacare-voter, has done to our nation? Which candidate will protect life, the borders and our God-given liberties? If Republicans were smart (cough, cough, choke, choke), they would put out an ad in which he says he won’t apologize for fighting against the Democrats’ war on the unborn.
I will so take that wager. This is gonna be a squeaker, either way the cards flop. Especially if ChairSatan Bernanke dumps a few trillion dollars of paper fiat into Wall Street’s gaping maw through QE3 after Jackson Hole at months end. The sugar high from that will peak right around November, just in time for Puppet Obama to pull a few million fence-sitting lemmings into the Donkey column.
That Wall Street you say will save him when Big Ben throws money at it has been up and up and up to this point and where does it have him? He will be landslided out of DC.
George Allen’s macaca was said in the summer. he lost.
Akin’s statement was 10X worse and McCaskill will play it every day until she wins.
Akin should have dropped out. he will lose.
“The scary thing to me is how many people think he is good in foreign relations.”
Notice where The Undocumented Coffeee Server’s poll is “strong”, and guess who is Sec. of State?
How many times must I repeat: This SElection, is The Undocumented Coffee Server vs. HILLARYRomney:
The Exempt Ones will not go down with the Coffee Server, and fully intend to Extort-Care, as long as they are unaffected and are beyond reach of any bureaucracy imposed taxation. Their pick is HillaryRomney.
Obviously, we should abort the baby. It deserves to die because its father is a rapist.
The 13 year old will feel so much better, too. First raped, then aborted. How pleasant for her. /s
Abortion! It un-rapes people now!
Your problem is that you think a 13-year-old-girl is unharmed when her unborn baby is killed.
Here’s something I suspect could happen.
Hiring could increase when it’s assumed that Obama will lose in November.
Obama will take credit for the “Obama Economic Boom” make ads and say “See? I told you my plan would work”
Akin and his supporters have already saved that unborn baby from being killed. Akin has hurt (not helped) the prolife movement.
Thanks to Akin, that would be 13 year old will be aborted as a result of Akin's stupidity so there will be no chance that she could be a mom.
If the truth were reported on the longterm threat of the results of the Arab Spring, Obama’s foreign policy numbers would be in the tank as well.
Throw in his disastrous decisions on Poland, Russia, Israel...
