The lesbian who claimed three masked men broke into her home last month, tied her up, carved anti-gay slurs into her body and tried to set her house on fire will be arrested, after police discovered she was lying about the attack.
Charlie Rogers, 33, who ranks second in career blocked shots for the University of Nebraska's Cornhuskers, told police the men broke into her Lincoln house on July 22 and attacked her.
Rogers, a lesbian, said one man pinned her down while another sliced a cross into her chest, cut the front of her thighs and shins and carved derogatory words in her arms and abdomen.

Wasn’t homosexuality a mental illness ten years ago?
Wasn’t homosexuality a mental illness ten years ago?
In the 70’s yes...
Obviously, it still is.
You’ve come a long way, baby!
It still is.
I messed up the title. Can you please fix.
35 years ago and it still is.
Imagine my sarcastic “surprise”.
GENTLEMEN OF THE JURY HOW DO YE FIND he asked rhetorically.
So this was not a “legitimate” attack?
Someone have the picture of the “Attention whore” on the beach?
hehehehehe
Guilty!
As predicted by many freepers replying to the original story.
Once this woman identified herself as a Lesbian I hope the police were kind enough to ask her if the family back in Lebanon was doing alright.
Likely guilty, but I’ll wait for a jury on that issue.
I can opine that (although I am not on the criminal frequency, Kenneth) it seems highly doubtful to me that any more than .01% of men would do such BS to a woman just because she is a lesbian.
First of all, they don’t give a damn what she is.
Second, they might rape her or even kill her, but I just don’t see any man (except someone seriously psychotic) carving up a woman’s skin with crosses and nasty words. I just don’t think men are wired that way.
Not to say that men are paragons of virtue; obviously, many are not. I just think such scumbags manifest their depravity in different ways.
Plus, too many other inconsistencies and contradictions in her tale of woe and very sad cry for attention to attach any credibility to it.
If found guilty, she should be severely punished, and not with just a misdemeanor, but a felony. Still, I feel sorry for the lady.
Freepers caught on early (no surprise there), but most other folks (except for the bleeding-heart vigil goers) did as well.
