Akin is correct. For statutory/otherwise forcible rape, abortion should be authorized—especially in cases of a mother’s life truly being at stake. When I was young, this is the way it was. In fact, women would die, rather than giving up their unborn babies, in favor of the baby.
What have here are both parties saying abortion is OK. What is law is that the taking of so-called ‘unborn’ life is A-OK up to and after birth, even to the point of letting babies born from abortion to wither and die alone in some trash heap or on some stainless steel table somewhere.
In 0bama’s inaugural, he mentioned the word ‘life’ twice, both from a historical perspective. NOWHERE did he affirm the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
It’s ok to butcher people. The question now remains what age and which group.

This whole thing against Akin smells very political.
Akin sounded pretty solid on Hannity’s radio show today.

Rush Limbaugh, Michelle Malkin, and Allen West are a bunch of limp wristed RINOs! When have they ever showed political or personal courage!

There is evidence. Not all women react the same way but most do. This would have been a GREAT opportunity to educate the masses in the truth but those who agree with child sacrifice will not test any hypotheses that will threaten their wallet. With Hannity going after Akin and listing all the RINO’s who want him to step down, I wanted to puke. So did God.

So he will join the likes of Angle, and O’Donnell as yet another poster child for the Right. And that’s sad because the Right is right, but they (we) seem destined to do shallow research on those we put forth as our candidates and we then get “rewarded” with people who have an innate ability to put their mouths in gear before their brains are engaged.
That's exactly the point.As lousy as it might be Akin hasn't just shot himself in the foot,he's emptied an entire clip into his head.Particularly if he stays in every flea- infested Rat in the nation,from our Community Organizer In Chief down to a candidate for dog catcher in Idaho will be running ads about "women's rights" and "women's health" and other similar stuff.And while such ads won't work with *everyone* it just might work with enough wobblers in enough swing states to hand the *whole* package to the Rats in November.We can't afford to give up a *single* Electoral vote,a *single* Senate seat or a *single* House seat.Akin's a dead man walking regardless of what he decides.It's now just a question if he'll be allowed to sing the entire ship.

Do I understand correctly that the entire problem with Akin’s comments is the word “legitimate?”
