So now we want to destroy this man because of his strong pro-life stance?

Sure, he expressed himself a bit clumsily, but the content of what he said is right on — that babies are valuable, even if conceived through very painful circumstances. Oh, and that some women say they’ve been raped, when in fact their sexual activity was consensual.

Sometimes FReepers drive me crazy, with their embracing of the mainstream media’s narrative.

It’s about winning, and the fact is that the sheeple are swayed by what the media says.....what good is it, if we lose?

You have to be smart, and know the game so as not to give them ammunition....you have to know that the GOP is starting the game behind a couple of touchdowns.

Give me a break. IT is NOT his pro-life stance that is HIS problem. He has NO clue how to articulate a 'pro-life' attraction. We in Missouri want Clarie gone.... period....

Not some guy on a crusade that has NO clue how to win an election so he can implement his pro-life 'stance'. AND to win Akin needs those haughty high minded moderate so called INDEPENDENTS. NOT to give these liberal snakes venom to hiss so those mushy independents can escape the medias rampant ridicule.

Of course not. We want to destroy him because he is a selfish boob who is dragging down the party. Listen to him on Huckabee. He still doesn’t understand what was wrong with his moronic statement. Akin damaged the pro-life cause by playing to the stereotype of an inarticulate, scientifically illiterate, chauvinist rube. There is a basic level of rhetorical competence we must require from our candidates. It’s not about parroting conservative viewpoints and pushing the right button in Congress. Honestly, Akin couldn’t even do that. This guy wasn’t able to competently answer a basic question about an issue that supposedly is near and dear to his heart. What does that say about his master of other issues.

That woman have a magical way to stop sperm in case of "legitimate rape"?

Amazing how ignorant people are.

Yes, Adkins has made his apology time to move on, but the GOP is the one who is fuming.

Let the Missouri voters decide if this is important enough to put in a Democrat who voted to enslave their medical care.

His pro-life stance is absolutely NOT the problem.

An old conservative christian white male politician offering a condescending contrary explanation of how a women's mind and body actually reacts to rape exposes his clueless political instincts.

"Why punish the child?" is all he needed to say. Period. It's a solid position. But, he couldn't help myself.
