AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, serving humanity simply by showing up, and he’s not retiring until every American agrees with him, do NOT doubt him, with shrieks of joy at the mere mention of his name (that’s Rush, for those in Rio Linda),the Mandarin of Talk Radio, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back — just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, all-concerned Maha-Rushie! America’s anchorman, truth detector, and doctor of democracy. A Real Man, a living legend, a way of life. Commander in Chief of U.S. Operation Chaos. Chief Waga-Waga El Rushbo of the El Conservo Tribe. Chief of the Patriotism Police. Leader of the Conservative Movement. A Weapon of Mass Instruction. El Rushbo (a little Spanish lingo, there). He is the man who is running America (you know it and I know it). He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do—that’s host. Get ready to what you were born to do—that’s listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).

I went to his website and all I found was this:

On Monday’s Mark Levin Show: With all that is going on in the world and our economy growing worst each passing day under Obama, the media would rather focus on Congressman Todd Akin’s comments regarding women and rape. Even the President came out to the Press Corps and spoke as he wanted to exploit the opportunity and his agenda. Mark says although he is not supporting Akin’s comments, it is still very important that the Republicans beat McCaskill in the upcoming election. The liberals never turned their back on Bill Clinton or Ted Kennedy and what they did, and yet we have some Republican establishment types that are already calling for Akin to step out of the race. Finally, Congresswoman Michele Bachmann calls in and discusses the current situation with the country and the Republican presidential ticket.

Admittedly I was half-asleep (tape delay) but I was taking it as the guy shouldn’t step down.

I know and I understand, but he is staying in, we have to begin to deal with it. Are we with Claire or Akin? We will be asked.

Missed most of it; damn. Just shot a woodchuck on the front walk and had to throw him into the field across the road. Time to feed the buzzards.

LOL - It’s crazy how his words have generated more outrage than Clinton’s actual rape of Juanita Brodderick did.

Akin on Huckabee now.

Says he’s staying in.

Thank you for that info, Palmetto Patriot. Why doesn't Akin come on the show with the best ratings over the past 20+ years... Rush's?

Thanks, Rep. Akin, for putting yourself and your own interests over the best interests of this country.

If Akin stays in, I *do* hope he wins, but I don't see how he's going to do that with no NRSC, etc. money.

Hey, if I lived in Missouri, I would vote for whatever GOP candidate was running vs. Claire, including Akin, regardless of his boneheaded statement.

We'll just have to see how this plays out. I'm fearing it won't be pretty for "our side"...

Agree, he didn’t misspeak, he’s a ‘Mr Know-it-all’ whose going to argue he’s right even when he’s wrong and doesn’t know what he’s talking about. No thanks. He should have told the reporter he would get back to them if he didn’t know what he was talking about.

Now it’s time to throw the ball back and ask the Democrats if they think a normal, healthy pregnancy should end in abortion?

You're so right, IMPR!! And there was virtually no coverage in the MSM about the obvious politically-motivated shooting by the lib at the Family Research Council!

That's the problem with the MSM and convervatives / Republicans. I highly doubt we'll ever win that war...

i think levin is like the majority of us - does not know for sure if he can win - but knows this: this is our ONLY chance to turn this around - it will take more than a gop president

at one point he said ‘someone smarter than me will have to make the decision’ - i agree with that

but i don't think those people are here on fr either - lol

no one can undo the primary - he is the only one that can make the decision not to run - and i am not one to tell people that want him to drop out that they must shut up

and i do not believe the people of missouri are of one mind either

but he did NOT ‘misspeak’ - he said it - i question the man's judgment

we are in a terrible place when people base their votes on stoopid stuff - or pout and not vote to ‘show them’ - those fools are every bit as bad as an obama voter

levin was trying to be objective about the whole thing - and the majority of his first segment monologue led me to believe he wanted akin in too - it was only at the end he said ‘my preference is that he go’ - levin was not on a jihad about it

Precisely.

Such an upsetting situation. I am not a fan of Akin, really; but again, I am 100% uncomfortable with overturning the results of a primary because someone is stupid.

What about the rest of the country when they are asked? Are they ready with an answer? Is Romney ready for the “you can't control your party comments”? I know the voters are ready, but those that go on talk shows need to be. We don't want a split party with evangelicals fighting GOPe.

I know. I just don’t know how much ground you gain when you cave, either. Personally, I think this whole situation is lose/lose.

I agree with Rush’s statements: This is about winning the Senate, winning the White House and keeping the House. We don’t need a Joe Biden on our side. It’s (the MSM) an unfair standard, we know it exists. This is bigger than one man. Abortion has nothing to do with this. The important thing is to save this country.
