I think they are the least that are appalled, I am NOT appalled, the guy is clearly pro life and believes in no exceptions as I did.
Anytime a truly pro life person is quizzed about whether or not they support exceptions for the life of mother (I do not feel well, I am stressed out), or rape or incest, it really is a red herring.
He should not have said that about the body shutting down/legit rape etc (I paraphrase), but his statements certainly did not appall me, seems to be a decent pro life fellow.
I was rooting for Sarah S for full disclosure.
Seems to me most of the left that are “appalled” are really only appalled by the fact that he believes abortion in ALL circumstances is wrong period, they only use the rape comment to vent their real hatred of pro life folks...that`s just how I see it
Prolife conservatives are appalled NOT by the prolife stance behind the comment, but by the moronic statement, which everyone within seconds KNEW was going to cause this brouhaha and hence jeopardize the Senate which to that point had been within reach.
