Then there is Martha Zoller. Martha is supported by Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich, various tea party groups, and me. Shes been a talk radio host in North Georgia who, like me, has been just as willing to take on Republicans as she has Democrats.
Doug Collins is beating the stew out of Martha, taking her words out of context, and distorting her record as a way to distract from his. I want you to support Martha Zoller because, unlike Doug Collins, we wont ever have to worry about lobbying Martha to be with us once she gets to Congress.
The runoff election in Georgia is August 21st and Martha is seriously going to need our help.

This is a safely Republican district in norther Georgia and I hope that the local conservative grass roots has made it a top priority.
Thanks Clintonfatigued.
I live just outside her district (Gwinnett Co.) but wish her the best!
As I believe I’ve mentioned before, if Martha Zoller wins the run-off, she will become the first Republican woman ever to represent the State of Georgia in Congress. We need a greater number of conservative (and, in particular, pro-life) women in Congress, so even if she wasn’t the grass-roots candidate I would probably support her. As it is, I think she’s the obvious choice.
BTW, if Zoller wins, she will be one of only 8 Republican Congresswomen from the South, with the others being:
Virginia Foxx of NC (pro-life conservative)
Renee Ehlers of NC (pro-life conservative)
Ileana Ros-Lehtinen of FL (pro-life moderate)
Martha Roby of AL (pro-life conservative)
Sue Granger if TX (pro-abortion moderate-to-conservative)
Marsha Blackburn of TN (pro-life conservative)
Diane Black of TN (pro-life conservative)
I don’t live in Martha’s district either but I think she is great and hope she wins.
John Gizzi’s write up on the race
Zoller is the clear choice even against the former coach of my Chicago Bulls ;-p.
Sounds like it’s been a nasty race, with Collins perhaps taking some stuff she said out of context.
Unfortunately, Doug Collins beat Martha Zoller 55%-45%. Georgia may have to wait another decade for its first Republican congresswoman.
Collins is a big time insider just like Hudson in NC-8 who also won his runoff.
Disappointment, but about 10 notches below the worst House primary result so far, Florida 9, that was like a early Christmas gift for Alan Grayson.
