Voting conservative is one thing, backing up those points properly is another. It is not that difficult to take a congressional voting card and shove it in a slot when it's time to go to the floor. However, defending your views is a whole other ball game and if Akin cannot express those well, that is a problem.

He doesn't have to go because he is a conservative. He has to go because by his incompetent foolishness he has given our enemy a potent weapon to use against us, and the only way to be rid of it is to be rid of him.

It's unfair and it stinks, but it is what it is. There is too much at stake for us to take one in the pants for this klutz.
