I read that they have to file tomorrow, so the GOP better have somebody lined up.
The somebody should be Jon Brunner, the second place primary finisher. If they pass over him, that’s a slap in the face to him and his supporters and he would probably be within his rights to mount a legal challenge. Don’t need that. The party needs to be united.
On another read, someone posted that the withdrawal has to take place by tomorrow (11 weeks prior to Election Day) but that the GOP would have a few weeks to name his replacement.
