Its amazing, isn’t it?
People that love to portray libs as homos and cowards are the biggest drama queens.
Whatever happens with this guy, this is a story of 4 days, and then we are on to something else. There isn’t going to be some ungodly swell of support for Democrats, superceding all of the other issues.
Anyone that thinks that is a full idiot.
Namecalling is unnecessary. If you think Akin is still a viable candidate, you are welcome to donate to him. Those who recognize that he isn't will make a different decision.
The question is, who would have the best chance of beating McCaskill? Kit Bond retired a couple of years ago, he’s 73 now, but he is a two-time governor, and four-time senator—he retired undefeated in his Senate runs. Another former senator, Jim Talent, is younger, but he has lost as much as he has won in state-wide races. Then there is John Brunner, who was runner-up to Akin in the primary. He has never held elective office before.
Asking for money no less...when you're flinging manure why not fling it piping hot?
And look who is talking --
exactly right.
Bob McDonnell in VA did the same thing (he won VA by 20 points in 2009, Obama won VA by 7 points in 08.....a 27 point swing).
The washington post tried to make the election about social issues. McDonnell consistently stayed on point.
All Akin had to say was something along the lines of:
My position or anyone else’s position on abortion won’t matter if we don’t start getting some jobs for people to make a living or we cut the debt we are about to hand our children and grand children.
He could have walked into the senate. Idiot.
You obviously have me confused with someone else. I rarely stoop to name calling.
In '08, after losing out on the governor nomination, she refused to support the primary winner until shortly before the election. I voted for her in this primary just because she had the biggest lead on McCaskill head-to-head. If Brunner is awarded the nomination, and McCaskill plays "spoiled princess" again, her political career should be ended in Missouri.
No, because I’m assuming that either Brunner or Steelman have basic common sense and lack the diarrhea of the mouth that Akin seems to have as a built-in-feature.
Ohhh -- look who is talking after a full morning of pronouncing all those anathemas against Todd Akin.
How pretentiously honorable of you.
If you defend this man, the implication is that you also defend his comments.
Do you defend his comments?
“I dont think that Ann Wagner, the strongly pro-life Republican who handily won the primary to replace Akin in the House and who has raised almost $2 million, will be stepping down.”
Thanks, that answers that question. I guess he is going to have find something in government that does not require PR skills.
He’s on the radio now with Hannity and he’s stuttering and stumbling. Somebody get the hook.
Senator George Allen agrees with you!
RE:”WHO will be the NEXT conservative you throw under the bus?”...
I will gladly throw any conservative who proves themselves to be totally incompetent in words or action and endanger the entire conservative message with their idiocy.
Geez, now I’m listening to this guy on Hannity and its all about rape, rape, rape, what is rape. That’s really the key issue we need to be talking about in this election isn’t it? But look where we are, all thanks to Mr Aikin’s incompetence. Oh and now he says he’s wrong about the anti-rape feature of a woman’t body. Yeah, too little, too late buddy.
I’d love to know how people suddenly decided to be joined at the hip with a guy that won because of dem crossover votes. I’m mystified at the loyalty shown to this moron by what is a small minority on here.
I am listening to Akin on Hannity right now. He needs to throw away the shovel he’s carrying.
His “explanation” is lame.
Then can I assume that you will correct the mouths of all the rest on here that have been pronouncing anathemas against Todd Akin all day or are you just reserving your disdaining comments for those that support him.
Get real.
