You sound like you're getting confused by the word "legitimate," which was an ambiguous word choice, but I never took it to mean that he was implying women were lying about being raped. That would be the spin liberals want to put on it though.
No, not confused by the word legitimate. If a "real" (i.e. legitimate) rape occurred, the "female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down" (i.e., not become pregnant at all, of if so, then miscarry).
Sorry, but the implication is there, intended or not.

The implication absolutely is not there because he never said it was impossible for it to occur. If you’re going to judge people as lying just because they claim a rare, but not impossible event happened, that’s your mistake. No reasonable person would assume someone is lying just because they say a rare but possible event happened to them. Mass shootings are rare but if someone calls it into 911, 911 isn’t going to assume they’re lying.
