Sounds like another federal land grab to me.

Exactly. Reported that there have only been three confirmed jaguar sightings in the last five years. Apparently their thinking is to declare 1,200 square miles as habitat because they are so rare and there might be some more out there to be found.

I agree Dave, although I do think it’s pretty cool that we actually have el tigre in the state.

IMHO, 98% of these exotic animal “sightings” are fraudulent. Most of the time, the federal employees were just out in the stick blowing some weed or drinking beer. These “sightings” are necessary for them to keep their jobs.
