Jeff Kuhner of the Washington Times has done fill ins for people like Savage, as well as WRKO's Michele McPhee and Howie Carr. Now apparently he will have his own show on WRKO (don't know if this is nationwide for him or just RKO, weekdays 11 am till noon (680 AM in Boston, also wrko.com). In addition next week people across the country (via online etc.) will be able to hear him fill in for Howie Carr (3-7 pm weekdays) Tue Aug 21-Fri Aug 24, on WRKO and the other dozen or so stations of Howie's network.
Link is to a show he did for WRKO recently, to give you an idea. Letting any Kuhner fans know. (I think he still may live in DC area and will do show via ISDN line)
Fill in for Howie Tue-Fri. Also show at 11 am on WRKO.
Wiki:
>>Jeffrey Thomas Kuhner (born September 1, 1969) is a radio host, commentator, and was an editor of Insight on the News. He is a regular contributor to the commentary pages of The Washington Times, where he writes a weekly column, and has written for Human Events, National Review Online and Investor’s Business Daily.[1] He is also the president of the Edmund Burke Institute for American Renewal, a Washington D.C. think tank devoted to integrating minorities into the conservative movement. The Institute produces a monthly magazine, Reflections, to which he regularly contributes. He is also a radio personality, appearing often as a guest or fill-in host of the Savage Nation and the Jerry Doyle Show.
Kuhner was born in Montreal, Canada to Croatian immigrant parents. After teaching US history from 1998 to 2000 at McGill University in Montreal, Kuhner worked from 2000 through 2003 as an assistant national editor at the Washington Times. After leaving the Washington Times, he worked for the Republican policy group the Ripon Society as communications director and editor of the Ripon Forum. He was the editor of the US Internet news magazine Insight on the News from October 2005 until its closing in May 2008.[2]
From January 2008 to November 2009 he was media editor for the Washington Times. As media editor he helped with the partnership between the Washington Times and Talk Radio Network. The partnership resulted in the nationally syndicated radio show “America’s Morning News”. Kuhner began his weekly column at The Washington Times in June 2008.
Thanks. I absolutely love his thinking and writing in the Washington Times. It must be hard making the jump from writing to hosting a yak show. I look forward to adding him to my iPhone for commuting and walks around town.
Great Fill-In for Howie!
Howie should take Rush’s vow to not take anymore vacations from his show until after the election - we NEED him - we have to fight the 0/32 Cherokee nation!
He’s a good radio host!
Sounds like a good man - thanks for the ping.
I really like Kuhner subtle brand of conservatism!
He filled in for Savage a few times and was very good. I even hear one of the local sports station guys copy his style every so often so it doesn’t surprise me he’s getting some airtime.
I’m having withdrawals from Jay tho.
I catch Beck over the web.
He has filled in for Michael Savage on numerous occasions and had his own talk show back in 2010. He has a habit of ending every word with "ink", it gets annoying rather quickly. The show on RKO is only an hour long but I'm sure he'll jam a lot into that hour!
Getting a Kuhner ping list together-message me if you want to be included
So happy he finally got his own show!
