Majority of Americans Want Romney to Release Tax Returns
Less than half think the returns would reveal harmful information
by Frank Newport
PRINCETON, NJ — A majority of Americans (54%) say Mitt Romney should release additional tax returns, while 37% say he should not, according to a USA Today/Gallup snapshot poll conducted Wednesday night. Predictably, Democrats strongly favor his releasing more tax returns, Republicans have the opposite view, and independents mirror the national tendency to favor Romney’s releasing more returns.

It could hurt him politically not to release them, that’s all.
And borderline anarchists favour him telling the bloody communists to pound sand, and him not being particularly polite about it.
The blatant bullying of the thing and the shameless hypocrisy of it are repugnant
Your USA Ptooey poll doesn’t show the breakdown of Democrats, Republicans and Independents that were polls (how many, not just percentages of each type of respondent to the questions).
54% is the “total” figure saying “yes he should” 30% are Independent. 53% are Republican. A whopping 75% are Democrat. Since 54% > 53% and >> 30%, they oversampled Democrats. But they don’t say by HOW MUCH. Now, why it comes to being “honest” what does USA Today/Gallup have to hide?
It’s not in their PDF breakdown. The margin of error in their poll is 5%. It’s been pushed to generate the result they sought.
“It could hurt him politically not to release them, thats all.”
Politically hurt is exactly the intent with this ploy. They’ll pick and choose the info they want to focus on and then it’ll be more of the same — millionaires and billionaires don’t pay their fair share and here’s PROOF.
Class warfare always hurts Republicans, not rich, powerful, hypocritical dems who are using the same tax code.
