In a letter sent to Mitt Romney’s campaign manager, Matt Rhoades, this morning his counterpart on the Obama campaign, Jim Messina promised to let up on their criticism of Mr. Romney for not releasing more of his tax returns if he releases five years worth of returns. Mr. Messina said this offer should address any “fears” on Mr. Romney’s part that “that the more he offers, the more our campaign will demand that he provide.”

I would also add the Air Force One flight log and a passenger log of everyone on board the plane during the NYC joy ride/fly over that occurred in the beginning of Obama’s term to the short list. Also provide a lie detector test to third party employees who worked the flight and blood test afterwords to determine if they used beta blockers or any other drug during the lie detector test.

I think all reps, senators, cabinet heads, department heads, czars should show their tax returns going forward the moment they are elected to office. If they’re not fond of this idea, maybe we could get rid of the g.d. IRS and go to a consumption tax like the fair tax.

1. Microfilm of the birth records from Hawaii
2. true and exact copy of his social security number application
3. true and exact copy of selective service registration with documentation of accuracy
4. Occidental college admission records and transcripts
5. Columbia Univ. transcripts and application with financial aid applications
6. Harvard records - application, transcripts, finanacial information
7. Application for passport and documentation of passport used for travel to Indonesia while in college.

The constitution provides for the President to be a natural born citizen...says nothing about requiring his tax status...so as Obama won’t release records that prove he’s a fraud then Romney just needs to tell them to go Pound Sand!

Nearly every posting here indicates pretty much the same thing.... demand that 0dumb0 release his sealed records (college applications, college transcripts) PRIOR to any further release of Romney's records. I would add that Romney ought to demand the release of 0dumb0's selective service records and how 0dumb0's social security number indicates that it was issued from Conneticutt as well.

Unfortunately the Repubs in general and Mitt in particular would NEVER consider playing hardball like this.... instead they reserve their vitriol for conservative Repubs & the Tea Party.

Just once, I wish that we had a GOP presidential nominee (since Reagan) with a pair of balls!

Kerry didn’t give up tax returns. Typical double standard for pubbies. Romney should give the last 2 years and no more. The RATS just want to use it as fodder for their ammo against him. Meanwhile the spineless pubbies are sitting on their hand while not demanding Bam’s ss, birth, college transcripts, thesis, pasport records etc. You won’t see Reid, Pelosi, Wasserman, Holder et al releasing their records. Romney should say:

It's no surprise that a president who has wasted four years, desperately hoping his liberal policies would rescue an ailing economy, now wants to waste more time by deflecting attention from the issues which we should be debating. It doesn't matter whether he asks for 10 years, or 5 years. He's not getting any more than I have provided.

And as for his promise to let this drop if I gave him more returns, I honestly hope he doesn't, since I believe that his refusal to focus on the issues which really matter only helps my campaign.

Yes and while we are looking at records have the Obamas authorize the state of Illinois to release the information regarding why they both “gave up” their law licenses...that doesn’t happen without a reason!!!
