Thanks for your perspective. I have three major problems with FB:

1. It is VERY intrusive. They have software that scans everything you post, including pictures. The info gleaned from this is used to target ads to you. And they will share your info with anyone that has the bucks to pay for it.

2. If you decide to leave FB, you can "delete" your account but FB hangs on to your account and everything in it. Kinda like the Hotel California:

Be aware that Facebook may still retain information from your account in their databases (they have been unclear about whether they do this). Even though it may never be given out in public, authorities can ask for this information.

3. If you're having a stalking or bullying problem with a FB user, FB corporate ignores pleas for help. I have a friend right now who is going through hell with his daughter (age 14) regarding this. There have been several articles about pedophiles using FB. And FB apparently could care less.

As I said, Facebook is evil.
