A story on CNSNews goes into detail about an Obamacare regulation that took effect on August 1 that requires health care plans in the U.S. to provide taxpayer-funded (or free, in liberal terminology) contraceptive methods that include sterilization “for women with reproductive capacity.”
Because the recommendation doesn’t specify age, it theoretically could apply to any menstruating girl. CNSNews learned that Oregon allows a minor to consent to sterilization. In that state, a 15-year-old girl can give her “informed consent” to allowing a doctor to render her permanently barren. Whether her parents approve or not has no bearing on her choice.

I kinda doubt there are many legitimate doctors out there that would sterilize a teenage girl for no medical reason.
I’ve heard of childless adults that wanted sterilization that had to doctor shop and go through major consultations beforehand. Most doctors don’t want to do permanent harm for a temporary whim.
If this is a real problem, I’d bet it is a really rare one.

Obama loves Planned “Parenthood” and does not seem to care that Ms. Sanger had such a low opinion of Blacks.
Its a bad law ... but this part is probably more of a stupid error than an actual policy position.
They wanted to get that damn contraceptive mandate on-the-books so fast that they didn’t even bother to carefully word the stupid thing to avoid the crap that even they think is ridiculous (like this part, I would guess). I don’t need another reason to dislike this dipstick and every law he screws with.
I get the feeling the Regime is making these changes as fast as it can because it doesn’t expect to be in power much longer.

While I agree, there is a difference between "licensed" and "legitimate." You can be the former without being the latter. And when the government is funding it? Yeah, someone will set up shop. Someone will do it just because they can. And it won't take "many" to do grave harm.

I know this is just editing because you were excerpting but I cringed when I read the word “snip” following that sentence.
Golly, between Planned Parenthood, free condoms, free sterilization we'll soon be like China. Could it be that's what this current administration wants?
Yeah, there are “doctors” that’ll do anything for a buck. There are probably a handful without conscience that would be willing to sterilize young girls with a dirty pocketknife out of the back of a van in a convenience store parking lot.
But, I still don’t think it’d be much of a problem, if any. How lucrative a business can permanently sterlizing teenagers possibly be?
There is clearly a hole in the law, and it demonstrates just how hastily and sloppily this crap was thrown together ... but the market for parentless barely-post-pubescent permanent sterilization is just non-existent. I can’t get too worked up about a stupid loophole that will ultimately have no victims.
There are better reasons that this law should be gutted.

Well, it seems to me that the Democrat leaders of today ARE rather stupid. However, when one looks at the groups who ACTUALLY WROTE the law, I think it may have very well been a policy position.

What is telling is that this new Obamacare rule to provide “free” sterilizations is for women only.
This is the misogynist population control plan that’s been in the works for more than 40 years ... pushed by Kissinger and many others. It’s still the same plan. At the moment it’s voluntary but that is not the end game.
