“Sweet deal” is 1 in 4 adults under 30 living mom & pop, junior:)
So was Palin for that matter.
Point taken. :)
I also hear your point on Romney. He still has a lot of convincing to do for conservatives. I fear his establishment advisers are now saying, “Feel free to run back to the left now, Ryan has secured those hicks on the right for us.” Ryan could be a step in the right direction, or a prelude to a colossal mistake.
I cracked up at her “logic” the other day on Special Report. Her argument about Ryan’s plan was “those under 55 will be old one day and will be affected.” Somewhere between being told those people would have a choice before they got old and what they were facing right now went right above her head. It amazes me how the left can rationalize anything they don’t agree with.
Want to focus taxpayers in general on how much the gov't is taking from them?
Do away with withholding.
Give everyone their gross earnings in their paycheck.
Make everyone write checks to the gov't at the end of the month.
Make sure there are one each for income tax, social security, and medicare.
See how long people put up with big government after that.
If I’m wrong, and Romney happens to govern in a conservative fashion, and rollback Obamacare etc, then I’ll happily admit that I was off.
But, I don’t think I’m wrong. And I can see progressives within the party stabbing Ryan in the back if they lose. If this ticket loses, do you think that Ryan is going to pull off a Nixon?
No, and that’s the problem. Sure, its great that they have a conservative at VP - but it’s a position with absolutely zero power, except to act as a scapegoat.
Do you really want Ryan’s prospects in 2016 to be the same as Palin’s in 2012? I don’t. I’d much rather Romney chose someone like Pawlenty.
When you compare the size of the Baby Boom generation to the size of the Gen X generation, and the fact those entitlements will be ensured....I’d say sweet deal in comparison to possibly paying in and getting nothing...though I guess it’s like saying antifreeze tastes sweeter than motor oil.
As a long time conservative who's voted in every possible way for smaller less intrusive government the generalization kinda irritates me. Its counter productive.
>>>This morning the doc was saying his condition was dire and to expect only a few more days. But now he has rallied and tomorrow they believe he will be strong enough for them to do the tracheotomy which is great since thats a step towards his recovery. Thank you all for your prayers and keep it up. Its working.<<<
Praise God ... Psalm 30:2 ~ “O Lord my God, I cried to thee for help, and thou hast healed me.”
Prayer warriors, please see post 30 for a prayer need update.
Prayers for Jim to get the procedures needed to help him heal and recover.
