It’s the little things. Thanks for the post.
I found a more in-depth story. It’s great to see people that really “care”
Just had one open up in town. Guess I’ll have to go check it out my next days off.
We have a Pannera store here—but I’ve never been in it. I’ll make sure I go in an buy something after reading this.
I work at a large company myself. Sometimes you just have to do things to help people even if “it's not your job” or you don't get paid to it. Just because it's a good thing to do to help someone out.
Panera’s donates all of the baked goods that are left over at the end of the day to charity. I’ve watched people come in station wagons and SUVs to pick up all of the bread, bagels, and sweets. I think they designate a different charity each night. Everything they sell is fresh every day.
Warms my heart. Thanks for posting, mom4kittys!
That’s a great thing the local Panera is doing. I eat at Panera quite often and the food is good, I especially like both the tomato soup and the Cuban black bean soup.
I’ll have to check out their menu.
Too bad it’s the esception and not the norm.
exception—sorry (typo)
I will definitely start patronizing them............
Folks - THIS is why America is Exceptional. THIS is how America became the very best. THIS action in a nutshell is WHY this election in November must stop the Won that wants to socialize everything, goverment run everything.
Just GET OUT of our way, let us do our own charity. Get the lazy bones off the couch and back to work. No free ride. I’m sick of Obama’s fairness Outcomes and Pay your Fair Share. We DO pay MORE than our fair share when you work and see taxes taken out.
This simple act of kindness is monumental and a true display of what built this great nation. Ahhh yes - WE BUILT that, NOT government.
Kudos to Panera - I go there all the time. Yum.
I admit it, I love their soups and salads
Panera’s is my youngest & I’s favorite place to go for lunch.
Panera is one of our favorite places to eat. It’s menu is primarily bread, soup, salad, and sandwiches. Good place to eat lunch. Haven’t tried their clam chowder. Their French Onion is very good. It’s served in a hollowed out loaf of bread. Also have good coffee. I can’t tell you how many times my wife has sent me out to get a cafe mocha, skim milk, light whipped cream, extra hot. Good alternative to Starbucks.
Sounds yummy—can’t wait for them to open. I will definitely become a regular.
It sounds a lot like La Madeleine which is one of my favorite lunch spots.
So ... people never carry out simple acts of charity in other countries. It’s an American thing.
Breathtaking hubris.
I see you are from the UK - Kudos to you and your fine country. Nice to meet you. No way, did I mean to infer it's an American thing. Many of us here are so disgusted with the socialization of everything this administration is forcing upon us, that we just want government to get OUT of our way and stop the dictating atmosphere. Decent people treat others with many acts of kindness and generosity and my point is that we don't need government to TELL us how to act 24/7.
As you see by frequenting Freeper pages there is total disgust by many of us on these issues. I am hoping to put a stop to this in November, but the threat of the left cheating and pulling “The Chicago” theft of an election is a frightening thought.
I appreciate your comments!! Have a great day!
