HARRISBURG, Pa. A tough new voter identification law championed by Republicans can take effect in Pennsylvania for Novembers presidential election, a judge ruled Wednesday, despite a torrent of criticism that it will suppress votes among President Barack Obamas supporters and make it harder for the elderly, disabled, poor and young adults to vote.
Commonwealth Court Judge Robert Simpson said he would not grant an injunction that would have halted the law, which requires each voter to show a valid photo ID. Opponents are expected to file an appeal within a day or two to the state Supreme Court as the Nov. 6 election looms.

I guess SAT testing to get into college is racist and a Jim Crow rule?Well, yeah, unless the scores can be disregarded in light of "life experience".

I'm surprised it wasn't worded to say, "Judge refuses to halt Pennsylvanias tough new RACIST, GOP-backed voter identification law.

The year IN put our voter ID in place the SoS made it known to all county clerks that he had hired extra deputies in his office who would be traveling the state observing and making certain that the law was being administered properly.

It's up to the patriots in PA to monitor their own. Entrenchment or no entrenchment, they must stand up for what is right, and make sure others do the same. To you folks in PA, are you volunteering to work at the polls? Are you making sure your family, friends, neighbors are registered to vote, and that they have transportation to the polls? YOU must protect the vote. The scum socialist/marxist/communist/sharia law loving thugs known as oboma and minions, will play the dirtiest voter fraud game ever in this election...I live in the Chicago area, and I know political SCUM. Time to band together, Pennsylvania, you're the boots on the ground...defend our Constitution, Freedom and Liberty...hear the Liberty Bell...it calls to us all. May God protect us in our time of need.

make it harder for the elderly, disabled, poor and young adults to vote.
Why because they have take, maybe, two hours to go to the DMV and get a Pa ID for $10?
Why don’t the Spendocrats waive the $10 fee.
Since, all these folks are so poor they can’t afford $10 in order to vote?
Otherwise, are the elderly, disabled, poor and young adults to stupid they can’t find two forms of ID and the location of the DMV?

I watched a certain subset of humanity attempt to return a fishing rod to Dicks Sporting Goods yesterday without either the receipt or identification. I felt like asking the cashier if she thought it was some kind of dry run, but my 5 second delay kicked in.

You can’t get welfare benefits without a govt. ID. The subset of people “disenfranchised” doesn’t legally exist.
Think about it: someone who refuses government ID, yet is passionate about voting for that same government?
You can probably set them on a school bus and not fill it. This stops vote fraud, the dead voting, and illegals.

Its free if you cant afford it. Good for you..I was just going to post this.
There is NO reason for someone in this country legally not to have ID that would be acceptable to vote.

Of course the left has no problem with non-citizens voting which amounts to neutering the vote of a citizen.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. I wouldn’t expect the law to be strictly enforced in Dem heavy areas.

I’ve always said to get around any ID’s are too expenisve nonsense to just make a State ID card free. Personally I would be happy to subsidize non DL ID cards so that I can make sure that our elections keep free of dead, felon, and duplicate voting.
