LOL!

Yes, first amendment CLEARLY states the prohibition against enactment of a state religion.
If that does not allow and tolerate NO religion, it becomes meaningless as I stated!

I’ve been informed that my strong support for the constitution IS my religion, weather I agree or not.
As “Everyone has a religion, it’s whatever you are most passionate about”.
Will the person who told me that also be persecuted by the Theocracy wing of the “conservative” party?

I always figure those who are so very intolerant of atheism must be insecure in their own belief’s, so have to trumpet them all the louder to reassure themselves.

I don’t hate “God”, that would be irrational, like “hating” the easter bunny or unicorns . (They are fictional too, just in case you did not know)

Thanks for that astute, well-written, grammatical post! And thanks for keeping it free of ridiculously false generalizations, sweeping inconsistencies, and broad-brush obtuseness!

It confirms everything I've thought about you.

All good, of course, by the way...

Well considering that Massachusetts maintained an official State religion long after the Bill of Rights was ratified, your premise makes no sense of all. A Constitutional crisis never erupted from the men who actually passed the Amendment. The people in the commonwealth voted to end that particular State religion. Of course people were free to worship anyway the chose in the face of this State religion, thus proving that you have no idea what you are talking about. Contrary to popular belief, Justice Black was not a founder of this country, more like a manipulator just like yourself.
