Paul Ryan's realism about the fiscal cliff is showing signs of appealing to younger voters, a group which overwhelmingly voted for Obama, and which has been buffeted by the economy worse than most other demographic slices. The Washington Examiner reports on the latest Zogby poll:
"According to Zogby the Ryan pick helped Romney with younger voters and independents, two key battleground constituencies. "Romney saw a bump in support among 18-29 year olds with 41 percent saying they would vote for the ticket of Romney and Ryan," said Zogby. "More importantly, Romney and Ryan led Obama and Biden among independent voters 45 percent to 40 percent." [emphasis added]
Added the pollsters: "If numbers like this hold, this could spell real trouble for the president who won with 66 percent of 18-29 year olds in 2008."

Hope & Change turned out to be a bad prom date kiddies.
I can’t wait for the likely female voter poll. NARAL is going to be SO disappointed!
Romney didn’t become a hundred millionaire by picking bad peopel. I am beginning to think that the pick of Ryan will be afterwards seen as the greatest pick for V.P. since, ... since.... well, since forever!
Romney, for all his RINOness, showed his leadership, management and organizational skills in picking him.

If they’re smart - and it’s clear that’s a rare trait in the young - they’ll realize that it is they who will be forced over time to pick up the tab for Obama’s brainless and astoundingly wasteful socialism.

Gen-Xs time to save us from the Baby Bummers!
As long a he sticks to fixing the economy and not get in the way of the congress on other stuff, it will be peachy keen.
Johnny, allow me to educate you. You said you won’t be voting for either liberal. Untrue. By not voting - you are voting for obama. It doesn’t get any simpler than that.
My vote won't increase Obama's vote count by a single vote.
Math is difficult for some people.
If the GOP wants my vote, they need to run a conservative.
There. I've 'splained it to you.

I’m the same as JR Freeper.
If the republican party were serious about enacting reforms that are crucial to young people - then they would not have nominated Romney.
I’m supporting the candidate who is serious about these things - Virgil Goode.
If you want my vote next time - put the conservative driving the bus, not as the eye candy passenger seat.
True. But no vote or a 3rd party vote is one less vote Obama will need to win.
I, for one, choose not to make it easy for him. My vote for Romney/Ryan makes him come up with another vote somewhere to offset my choice.
Take a group of 50 liberals & 50 conservatives:
- 2 of the conservatives don’t vote
- the libs win -> 50 to 48
simple math...
Therein lies the irony. People who won't settle for anything less that a true conservative help elect a Socialist dictator.
Unintended consequences.
That's what we face. Don't conflate the GOP with conservative. They aren't. Which is why I won't vote for their liberal for president.

Virgil Goode = Ross Perot effect.
Yep, that showed em...

If the GOP-e wants my vote, they need to push a conservative, instead of a liberal.
You might try to get them to stuff a sock in Rove's mouth when he trash-talks conservatives.
