Yes, there were a lot of women in attendance. The electricity in the gym reminded me of the rally with Sarah Palin I attended in 2008.
You had to have a ticket to get inside, which is why I believe they were able to keep hecklers out. Also, there was only two days notice for this event.
The true highlight of this event, besides Ryan's speech, was the young high school girl who introduced him. If there is video available, I recommend you watch it. There are young people that GET it.
