My wife had a Colt Commander with a terrible feed ramp. It handles 230 gr FMJ with that nice, smooth ogive. Tried some JHP rounds. The flat edge of the hollow point opening catches on the flat between the tiny feed ramp and the edge of the chamber opening. Useless. The feed ramps on a Glock chamber have a smooth surface, but don't fully support the case head. They always feed properly, the the case head balloons at the unsupported area next the feed ramp. The brass is unsuitable/unsafe for reloading after use in that variety of Glock barrel.

Do you have any data on the Beretta 96, which is my semi-auto? I’ve never had any trouble with it feeding anything, including Russian ammo.
