I think that most would stand down if ordered to take up arms against us, the American people. After all, that is what our military are, a cross section of us, the American people.

I would ask Mr. Benson why he would concentrate on a loosely organized group of Americans, the Tea Party’ that have shown no propensity for violence, and why he would ignore groups like the Black Panthers and the Nation of Islam who have clearly shown a propensity for violence. One of the most recent examples of people threatening to act outside of official channels were the threats made against George Zimmerman. Why concentrate on theoretical scenarios that have no basis in fact, when you have real-life examples to draw from?
