"I liked the old Annie Lennox of the Eurythmics." Aw geez. How about "Why". Her best, although "Would I lie to You" was IMHO her best with Dave Stewart. They did do a rocking version of "I only Want to be With You" in the Tourist days. ---worked that tour.

Thank you for posting that. I did not really watch the Olympics but I might have tuned in to see Annie Lennox.
The few minutes of some events that I watched over my wife's shoulder were worthwhile.

I suspect another NBC operation. NBC must be the problem here, the BBC coverage was first rate.
36 channels covering every single event, have never seen coverage that good before.
One thing i do agree with ,The opening and closing ceremonies where dreadful.

I remember Lennox as a younger woman. Notwithstanding her sometimes odd hair color and cut I always thought she had strikingly beautiful features. I was most impressed when she sang with Arethra Franklin (I think) and put Ms. Franklin in the shade...her range was remarkable. She also had an amazing body. She did not seem to flaunt it in the extreme, but she was a beautiful woman (Early-Mid Eurythmics).

They were great. All I watched for 2 weeks.I agree... I thought they were terrific! Our American Olympians made me proud... all who won gold stood with their hands over their hearts during the National Anthem, many sang the lyrics.
I admire all of the athletes - not just the ones who won gold, silver or bronze. Just to compete at that level is incredible.
I'm kind of sorry the Olympics are over, however I'm happy I won't be seeing those stupid NBC commercials anymore. Ugh, do people actually watch those horribly stupid sit-coms they kept pitching??

the Olympic ceremonies and the half time at super bowl have turned into garbage due to our trash-filled so-called rock stars. What any of them have to do with sports is beyond me.
I’d like to see an intermission at a rock concert where they play a football game.

After the Spice Girls and Russell Brand, I was expecting Banana-Rama!

I only caught part of her last song while flipping channels. Annie Lennox has the most beautiful, silky smooth voice any female vocalist has ever possessed. Her voice might not be as strong as it was back in the 80’s, but she's still incredible. After she finished her last song, I changed the channel. As far as how she looks and dresses...she's a rock star who has always been weird.

Great song by one of the top females singers ever. Lots of idjits on this thread who look at a picture and cannot see reality. They are conditioned by the fact that FR is mostly about politics and are incredibly cynical.
Annie Lennox is in the top ten of my all time greatest female singers.
